“Wonderful, welcoming hosts with excellent breakfast. Quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside.”

“"akutbokning" efter ett tråkigt boende i Exeter. Typiskt engelskt, fina rejäla rum. Mat ingen höjdare”

“Very comfortable bed, nice big window, decent sized room with good facilities. The owner was very happy to help with fresh milk delivered and good suggestions for local food places.”

“A Few Things That Could Be IMPROVED I would like to warn future guests who are planning to use the swimming pool and spa facilities about something that we found very inconvenient during our stay. There is no direct indoor access connecting the accommodation (the apartments) to the swimming pool and spa area. Bathrobes are not provided either. This meant that every time we wanted to use the pool or spa, we had to get dressed, walk there in our clothes, change, and then carry dry clothes with...

“We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.”

“Staff incredibly helpful from Manager to the cleaner- great breakfast”

“The best hotel without any doubt during our 10-day trip in south of England.”

“It is a big apartment. Everything is there. Specially the kitchen with an oven. Perfect bed. Only the neighbourhood is a bit poor. But a small supermarket just round the corner. Breakfast included is basic.”

“The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.”

“Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍”

“Suited my needs perfectly!! The room was small but adequate for me as a single traveller for an overnight stay. The hosts are helpful and accommodating. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. There is a kitchen and basic breakfast items are provided. There was tea bags, sugar and milk in the room with a kettle. As this is a house that you share with other guests I was mindful of the...
