“After a fairly tough bike ride from Totnes the inn was very welcoming and friendly. The staff were lovely and showed us where we could securely leave our bikes. The breakfast was excellent.”

“Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“Our stay at the Cridford Inn was absolutely fantastic. From the room, the staff, the restaurant (we tried the medieval recipes and they were great), the bar and the fabulous breakfast. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The area offers a vast number of walks on the beautiful Moor. ”

“We loved our weekend at The Globe Inn. The landlady, Jane was amazing, friendly, funny and informative. She made us feel so welcome. She served us fabulous breakfasts and the homemade dinners were delicious. The barman, Ollie was lovely and so helpful, he really is a great asset. The locals in the bar were friendly and chatty and very entertaining. Prices were good value. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It felt like home from home. We will definitely be staying here...

“all clean staff briliant and smiling , rooms clean twin beds a bit over soft , but cosy for many someone needs to paint the top of stairs fire door its been scratched to death gives a poor image when everything else is very good there can be road noise but they even supply earplugs if you want them , tea and coffee fine refilled each day meals are good value and well presented full english breaky to die for included pl ”

“We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....

“The unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off £15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizens”

“Vi är en svensk familj med en 2-3-åring som gjorde en rundresa med bil i södra England i 2 veckor. Det var mer eller mindre en slump att vi gjorde just detta stopp, men blev glatt överraskade av att detta blev en av höjdpunkterna på resan. Hotellet ligger väldigt lantligt, var väldigt trevligt med mycket god mat! Ett bra utgångsläge om man vill se lite av Dartmoor-trakten, perfekt att komma hem hit på kvällen och slappna av och äta gott. Vår 2-åring tyckte dessutom det var väldigt roligt med...
