Lakeside Splash - Cozy Cottage on beautiful Lake Huron in Oscoda, MI

Lakeside Splash is our closest cottage to the lake, in Oscoda, MI. Well suited for families, couples, singles, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Relax on the beach, take a dip in the lake, or simply sit by the fire, we have whatever you're looking for. Four miles south is the town of Oscoda known as Paddletown, USA thanks to the beautiful AuSable River which lets out into Lake Huron just before downtown. Also in Oscoda are awesome areas to hike and fish. Travel down River Road scenic by-way named Michigan's most scenic drive by Big Seven Travel, which cuts through the Huron National Forest, with many stopping points such as Lumberman's Monument and gorgeous Iargo Springs. The cottage includes; 2 bedrooms with queen-size mattresses, one pull-out couch, and a kitchen stocked with dishes, silverware, and other cookware. Beds are furnished with linens and bath towels are supplied as well. Hand and dish soap is provided. A full list of amenities and local attractions may be found in the check-in binder provided. We look forward to sharing our hideaway, with you!

On Memorial Day weekend, we enjoyed our second stay at Lovango Hideaway, and we're already talking about our third. We love this place, and the hosts are super-responsive and courteous. It's clean, roomy, the kitchen is a joy to cook in, and the beach and grounds are just glorious. Can't wait for next year!

Chairs and fire pit were nice. However the grill was nasty and rusted. Dirty washcloth in bathroom. Bathroom garbage wasn't removed. It had trash and dirty tampons in it.

Overall a great stay!

Beds were comfortable and the beach was great. Almost everything we needed was provided. There is some traffic noise from the road but it is not super bad, just kind of comes with the package when booking any cabin along the shores of Huron in this area. I used some white noise and slept well. Overall would recommend!

Third Visit

This is my third stay at this property and it didn’t disappoint. My sister and I enjoyed the view of the lake from the couch in the living area to the campfire at night. We walked along the beach and took advantage of walking trails throughout the day. Our favorite was the campfire at night and the sounds of the waves. Perfect get away.

Best Vacation Ever

My husband and I fell in love with Lovango Hideaway the minute we opened the gate. All four cottages are cute and well-maintained. The grounds were lovely, and being right there at the beach was such a treat! The cottage had everything we needed and was super-comfortable. We wanted a getaway from the noise and traffic of the city and found it here. We can't wait to return!

Cute cottage and fantastic beach! There is a three ring binder in the Cottage with everything you might need to know while you stay, it was very helpful. We went to the breakfast place recommended and as stated, it was amazing! Get the pancakes, you will be shocked! Do be aware, there is no oven. We brought food to prepare, but with out an oven had to change the dinner plans. It worked out fine though, we improvised! It was absolutely incredible to sleep with the bedroom window open, the sound of the waves lulled me to sleep each night. And in the morning, wow, the sunrise!! It was a fun week!

Amazing Property!

This is our second visit to Lovango, and it was great as usual! Very clean, nice updated decor, and you can't beat how close it is to the beach! The kitchen has almost everything you need, but no seasonings and stuff just fyi to byo. The beds are so comfy, and the softest sheets ever. Last time we stayed in another cabin and complained about the furniture being uncomfortable and the host updated it! We love a host that listens to feedback :) We will continue to stay at this property in Oscoda, just love it!

We just love these cottages!

This was our second stay at Lovango Hideaway and we just booked our stay for next year. We absolutely love this place! The cottages are cute and clean, and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. Great sandy beach as well! The owners communicate quickly, if you need anything or have questions. See you next summer!

Incredible beach and views!

My husband, 5 year old daughter and I had the most amazing couple of days! We really enjoyed our stay…the beach was incredible. We had an amazing view from our place and felt so secluded the entire time. The place wasn’t the best place I’ve ever stayed (not a lot of space in the bathroom) but it worked very well for us and you honestly can’t beat the location. We had a fire every night and loved all of the beach chairs, sand toys, kayaks and paddle boards that were supplied! Would’ve loved a bath mat for the shower- only suggestion. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Beach Vacation

This is the second time we have stayed here. We have had a wonderful time both trips. The cabin is close to anything you need. The beach is great for all ages. We enjoyed the improvements made since last summer ~ window air conditioner, ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the fantastic picnic table and chairs. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay, cottage was clean, smelled nice and no bugs inside! The beds and furniture were adequate, comfortable for a cottage. We had everything we needed and quiet neighbors while there so we had a nice, beautiful peaceful visit.

This was a cute little cabin on the beach & so close to the lake. It was cute & cozy. There was a situation with a leaky pipe & the hosts of this property were on it immediately. They had an emergency plumber out on a Sunday within an hour of my call. We will definitely stay here again. Very nice

Wonderful weekend

This place had everything we needed. Perfect view, bonfires, kayaking. Would be perfect if you wanted to rent all the cabins for a friend/family weekend.
