    Mangrove Bach är full av karaktär och charm och är en öppen planlösning med dekor av stugan och utsatt inhemskt träinteriör hela tiden. En dusch över ett trevligt djupt bad finns där du kan koppla av i slutet av dagen; spoltoaletten är ute i ett separat skjul. Bach sover 6 personer i 3 sovrum och fullt linne och handdukar levereras för din vistelse.

    Mangrove Bach är placerad på ett utmärkt läge, placerat vackert för maximal sol. Steg från båten till vattnet för att simma, fiska, samla ostron eller starta din båt med en fyrhjulsdrift. Båtåtkomst är vid högvatten bara framför Mangrove Bach. Kanalen är cirka 500 meter vid lågvatten som gästerna kan gå till. Njut av företaget med de lokala ankor och kycklingar som gillar att besöka. Observera: Nyckeln för båtrampen är inte längre tillgänglig.

    Njut av det subtropiska vädret i Far North med några av de bästa fiskeplatserna i norr i närheten. En 15 minuters bilresa tar dig till det lokala mejeriet vid Waitaki Landing och 30 till 40 minuters bilresa bort är Cape Reinga, Spirits Bay och Ninety Mile beach.

    Det finns ingen kolgrill tillgänglig men om gästerna vill ta med sin egen gasgrill, kommer gas att tillhandahållas.

This place is full of character and has everything you need. Its direct access to the Parengarenga Harbour is a real drawcard. Would like to stay longer next time - there's a lot to explore.

Second Time at the Mangrove Bach

This was our second stay at the Bach and we enjoyed it even more than the last time stayed there. One morning the next door neighbour stopped by with some fresh caught fish and we also got to know the owner’s daughter who is a most interesting and wonderful person. Since last year, the floor as been refinished and a few historical photographs displayed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to return next summer.

Epic fishing adventure with mates

This was a trip which took three years to complete due to multiple lockdows, timing etc. Absolutely stunning location with incredible fishing and able to launch directly in front of bach. Fishing heaven. Highly recommend. Epic week in paradise. Thank you very much

Fishing Trip

Was a typical kiwi Bach, had everything we needed. Awesome location to be based from for the week. We were fishing everyday, having the small boat ramp on the section made launching easy. Plus everything needed for filleting and washing down of the boat and gear. Will be back for sure!

Mangrove Stay

This is an authentic NZ bach. We’ll equipped, we’ll maintained, and very clean, it made for a comfortable stay. The setting for the bach is quiet and serene. Communication and instructions were very clear and accurate. As an added bonus we had the good fortune to meet the owner and she was delightful. We look forward to returning next summer.

Idyllic Time at Mangrove Bach

Our stay at the Mangrove batch could not have been any better. Even though we are not fishermen, we enjoyed it very much. The views are peaceful and serene while the interior being quite comfortable and clean has the feel of a true bach. Much to our delight we got to know the owner who happened to know a friend of ours who lives in a nearby town and arranged a bit of a reunion for them. All and all, a treasured experience. We certainly hope to go back.

Awesome week fishing

As a group we have stayed here before and again it did not disappoint. This is a remote bach and therefore do not expect all the comforts of a major city but that is why we will continue to return. That and the outstanding scenerey, location, access to the epic fishing grounds including the harbour. I live in Whanganui and this trip is well worth the 14 hrs drive, towing a boat. Aware that sounds bizarre but if your a fisherman this location is paradise. Much appreciated to hosts. Lee

Excellent fishing weekend

We loved the original presentation of the house. The set up for dealing with the fish cleaning and freezing was great.we had really good time. Enjoyed meeting the neighbour and learning about the local history.

Fantastic little hideway

I loved being here, but make no mistake this is an old fashioned kiwi bach. It has an odd layout and it is not particularly clean. We did notice there were no flies or insects which was nice! It is a good idea to read all about it before you go and of course to follow instructions. It was fabulous having access to the harbour right there.

Relax in the remote spot

If you like a holiday away from everything, this is the spot. Beautiful views, lovely owner, plenty of fish & birds around. The Bach is basic but it’s enough to keep the family happy.
