âShamrock is pretty close to Munnar (town) but still up in the hills close to some great views and nice forests - so it's a very good starting point for exploring Munnar.
The staff is helpful and reliable and can arrange trekkingtours and such.
There is no restaurant in the hotel but you can order breakfast (150 INR/person) and dinner (a good deal to chose from) for not much money. The breakfast was quite boring but cheap. Had dinner once and that was very good.

âWonderful location, a series of very cute cabins nestled into the hillside. We woke up to beautiful views of the forest which we e joyed from our balcony. Great restaurant onsite. The staff were a mixed bunch, the waiting staff were a delight and some of the front desk staff were very helpful ordering cabs for us at 5am, what I assume is the manager left a lot to be desired in terms of communication and politeness. â
