“Amazing hotel! The staff was great, views were stunning (we never grew tired of it!) and the room/rent was extraordinary, wonderful to wake up to the view. The staff were very attentive and helped with everything, even a hospital visit was solved in and out within 30 minutes from the request. Breakfast was very good, ala carte menu was average. Very bumpy road to get up there though. ”

“It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax.”

“Sehr schönes Hotel in einer alten Teefabrik. Herausragend war die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Essen war herrvorragend und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir bekamen eine Führung in der Teefabrik wo uns der Teeprozess erklärt und gezeigt wurde. Auch eine Wanderung wurde angeboten. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!! Bei der Hinfahrt ist es besser nach dem Weg zu fragen. Google maps führt woanders hin. ”

The only negative does not relate to the hotel itself maybe more about the city of Kandy, its very nosey and busy, we were hounded by local traders and drivers all day which compared to other parts of the country we would not have the same experienceits ”

“Worst experience ever, I booked and paid online but when I reached the property they said they let someone else to stay and can't make them leave, so asked me to go and find different property for that night and ask me to come back and stay next day, my family and kids all are left in the street. “This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. “Had four great nights in this hotel. Been in Sri Lanka for over 15 years but this was my first visit here. It’s a place of rest and recovering. The staff was actually one of the best I ever had. I guess the manager doing a great work with his team. For sure I will comeback again. ”
