Sherri's Terlingua Cabin med utsikt över Terlingua Creek

Sherri Terlingua Cabin är en underbar plats att koppla av och en utmärkt bas för att utforska Big Bend-området. Du kommer snabbt och enkelt ha tillgång till Big Bend National Park, Rio Grande River, Terlingua Ghost Town och Big Bend Ranch State Park. Kabinen inom gångavstånd (1/3 mile) till den berömda La Kiva Bar and Grill.

Njut av alla bekvämligheter i hemmet. Det finns ett sovrum med en full size-säng, ett loft (titta på ditt huvud - det är ett lågt tak) med två enkelsängar, ett badrum, vardagsrum och litet kök.

Vardagsrummet har en full-size futon som kan göras som en säng. Det finns en liten TV med inbyggd DVD-spelare. Vi har några DVD-skivor. Känn dig fri att ta med din egen, men du kommer nog att spendera mer tid på verandan och titta på stjärnorna och Terlingua Creek.

Köket har kylskåp, mikrovågsugn, brödrost ugn, brödmaskin, liten konvektionsugn och kaffebryggare. Kaminen fungerar men ugnen gör det inte. Det finns också tallrikar, bestick, glasögon för din användning. Krukor och kokkärl finns också.

Badrummet är litet men har dusch, toalett och handfat med varmt vatten.

Kabinen kyls och upphettas av två mini split luftkonditioneringssystem.

Sherri Terlingua Cabin ligger på en bluff ovanför en fjäderfodrad del av Terlingua Creek. För det mesta finns det bara en fot eller två vatten i den här delen av bäcken. Men när det regnar kan det bli en rasande torrent i kanjonen under kabinen. Var försiktig nära kanten av klippan. Marken kan skiftas farligt och oväntat.

Okay accommodations

Good location but small (especially shower stall), problems with A/C in bedroom twice but call to "help" number solved the problem. Need written instructions to fix problem available onsite. Comfortable bed, good size refrigerator, problem with ants at kitchen sink area.

Perfect!

3 adults with 2 separate sleeping areas was just what we needed and cheaper than 2 motel rooms elsewhere. Kitchen cooking facility and frig allowed us to cook own meals saving money. Great location for park and tours. Highly recommend. Only suggestion to keep loft sleep comfortable, keep ac on and ceiling fan reversed to draw cool air up. We would stay here again.

The house is located on a somewhat secluded, small knob next to the Terlingua creek. We sat every evening on the porch to first watch the black vultures settle in a big tree in front of the porch, then bats, and then the stars. Unfortunately, during some nights a neighbor a few 100 yards away had a bright light turned on all night that made star watching difficult.The interior of the tiny house is quite old and could need some updates but we found the Queen bed comfortable. The dining table is quite wobbly. We did not test the upstairs beds.It rained two nights and when it did there was water seepage through the bedroom windows and dripping onto the bed. I informed the property manager/owner about this. It was not a showstopper, quite an interesting experience .All in all, we liked our stay but did not entirely agree with the quality of the interior of the house.

Sherri’s Terlingua Cabin and Big Bend

Myself and two others recently completed a 5 night stay at Sherri’s Terlingua Cabin and had a wonderful time. Not only was the property clean, comfortable, and stocked with all the key necessities, it was within reasonable proximity to all of the trails we had planned to hike in Big Bend National Park, and then some! We also appreciated the hosts' commitment to minimizing food waste, as they noted that they will donate unused/unopened foods, and will keep items such as condiments for future guests. Overall, if we ever return to the area this would 100% be our accommodations of choice. Thanks again to the hosts for a fantastic week!

Cabin was fine. Very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host communication was great There are not many places to stay in Terlingua and even though this is not a new or fancy cabin we thought it was great for what we needed. Thanks for listing it.

Stay at Cabin

The cabin was just the right size for my daughter and me. It was much larger on the inside than it looked. It was a really convenient spot for the sites including Big Bend NP, Terlingua Ghost Town, and Big Bend Ranch State Park. We had to conserve on water because of desert conditions but directions were given on checkin and we had no problems. We had trouble understanding directions for the AC so didn’t use it. Thenights were pleasant with opening the windows to the desert air. By the end of our5 day stay daytime temps had gone from nineties to seventies. Kitchen was well equipped Sufficient for the two of us. We’re nature lovers do enjoyed the morning birds and the occasional owl hoot.

Expensive Tiny House

I guess it was peak season for Big Bend, but 300 per night (roughly, including all of the various fees) seemed like a crazy amount for this little house, which was just off the main road and nestled next to an emergency response building and what looked like a bunch of factories or machine shops. Giant trucks went by regularly. The proximity to Terlingua and Big Bend were the best things about the place. The double bed was comfortable, it was air-conditioned, and it had all the basics. Otherwise, some of the furniture was worn, the spaces seemed cramped, and the showers were lukewarm and short because of the ongoing drought. The place is ok, but definitely nothing special. Especially for the price, personally, I’d look for a nicer place.

Great cabin, great location

Sherri’s cabin was as advertised and perfect for our trip to Big Bend. The cabin was well equipped for our stay and very clean. It is also perfectly located for access to the park and near some very tasty restaurants. We would definitely stay at this cabin on our next visit to the park.

location was quite accessible to the major scenic features and hikes. The accommodations worked well for the three of us. Few restaurants offered non-Mexican food, and not all were open but the facility had everything needed for easy cooking, and a good grocery store was available nearby. Sitting on the porch after our busy days were the best.

4 day stay

Loved the property. The beds were very comfortable, the location was a bit out of town but a short 5 minute drive to Terlingua. We loved setting up our camp chairs outside each night and stargazed. We had a wonderful time, thank you.

Perfect Big Bend Base Camp

This was the perfect cabin for our small family. It was cozy with great views of the stars at night but not too far from restaurants and shops. Everything we needed was waiting for us inside. Our son loved the creek and the loft. Highly recommend.

Amazing

This cabin was perfect for our trip. Check in was so easy and the property was accurate compared to the listing. The beds were super comfortable. The shower is a little short, fine for me but a little difficult for my husband. Super cute inside. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the stars. Convenient location to restaurants in town and BBNP. If we return, we plan to stay here again!

Hiking in Big Bend N.P. & State Park

This cabin was a perfect location for visiting both Big Bend N.P. and Big Ben State Park. The cabin was perfect for two but surely could have accommodated four or six. We easily found it even though the street sign was down. Close to restaurants and sites and both parks. The cabin was clean with everything we needed for making our meals. The managers of the cabin were very easy to communicate with. Best part of cabin was sitting on the front porch at 3:00 am to watch the Milky Way snake across the sky!!!
