“I loved this little place…everything that was needed for 1-2 people. The host even put out little emergency supplies if you forgot your toothbrush, for example. It was walking distance to everything downtown but the restaurant directly across the street was so good I ate there twice. I would love to stay here again sometime. ”

The host management (TYCA) was defensive and unhelpful when issues were raised.We found live cockroaches. A major issue confirmed by previous reviews noting the host knew about the problem and had placed poison out. “We had an excellent stay at the property. It was clean, had new appliances, was in great condition with a nice outside deck and yard. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was as advertised. The staff communicated all instructions clearly and provided contact info in the event we needed support, which we did not. We would definitely return.”

“Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. Coming from Texas, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Connecticut.Carol's 1860 home is nicely furnished and spotless. Crisp bed linens and oversized...
