“A truly enjoyable experience! The house was immaculate, and very comfortable. Lots of living space inside, and the screened in porch was a delight. The setting was idyllic, reminiscent of Thoreau’s Walden Pond. The host had everything you would need for entertainment, from fishing poles to a grill and fire pit to lots of games for rainy days. Lots of room for kids to play and explore. Our host was very nice, and very helpful!”

“Maria has a very nice home. Her little dog Max is so sweet and well behaved. Her home is very clean and well maintained. Clean sheets and towels. The neighborhood is very safe feeling. I traveled alone for an appointment in Texarkana. I felt very safe staying here. I just needed a night. I got off work at 6 and drove my hour and 45 minutes. I arrived at 8pm. My appointment was at 830am so being less than 5 minutes away from that awesomeness. The cost of one night and not juggling my stuff and...

“We stayed at the property over Easter weekend with family. There were four adults and two teens, and more than enough room for all of us. We were met upon arrival and given a tour of the property and shown how to use some of the things on site. There are a lot of original things to the period it was built, and the images on the listing show off some of the highlights of the property. We enjoyed exploring, playing hide and seek, and relaxing with the family. There were a couple of negatives, but...

“Such a great, easy to get to location: near the city limits and the main road - the perfect home base for a day on Millwood Lake. We were there for the “Great American Eclipse” and despite some clouds, the view and quiet neighborhood couldn’t have been better. The house is amazing and comfortable, and wow; so many conveniences and amenities included! Heavy rains ruined a fishing trip and if we came back to Ashdown, booking this property again would be high on my list.”
