the Beer Shack

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s in an amazing location. It is walkable to restaurants, shops, the waterfront… The staff at the front desk are very friendly. I booked 2 rooms and they called to make sure I wanted 2 rooms and that I didn’t accidentally double book. When I return to Victoria I will book there again!

First I was very disappointed to find out the outdoor area with the firepits were only open to those who paid an additional $100+ per night to use this area. The hotel shows this overlook of the harbor in their adds but don't be fooled, it comes at a cost. Also, booked through Hotels.com and we were given a room on the 5th floor. The room again was not as shown. It was dangerous to those who frequent the bathroom at night due to several steps down from the bed. Bed was OK but not great. Small room. Nowhere to sit and have a glass of wine except in the lounge and restaurant. Lounge required a reservation on weekends except at the bar. Nowhere to hang out. Staff and location were great. Beautiful from the outside but beauty was only skin deep.
