“This is an old school cabin that was very comfortable. The cabin had seen better days (flooring) but great hot water, microwave, and a refrigerator. We were in cabin 3 and our covered porch had a great view of the water and the main intersection of West End. Our maid was top notch and took great care of us. “My stay at the Oceanview Hotel was great, but what truly sets it apart is the owner, Edgar, and his wonderful family. They are incredibly hospitable and friendly. We struck up a conversation over lunch at the hotel restaurant—where the food was excellent—and ended up talking about sports. “I traveled with my two teenagers and they loved the lodge they liked the feeding the animals too. I appreciated the free breakfast and the quick walk to the beach. Celeste, the owner was amazing and Lorelei at the front office also! Super helpful and helped me with horseback riding for my daughter and charter fishing for my son. Cannot recommend West Bay Lodge enough! We are going back next year too!”

“I loved the location of this property! The buildings themselves have so much potential. The insides are very outdated and run down. The coffee maker was burnt and stuck to the warming plate and the sheets had drains. BUT you can’t beat the location and super friendly staff. The pool was super clean and warm with a nice outdoor shower. I would definitely come back here if they lowered the price for current condition of the buildings. And I would bring my own sheets. You can’t beat the location...

“The room was amazing and the staff was spectacular. Our water heater went out on the last day. The staff came, discovered the problem and replaced the water heater all within an hour. When we finished our 10 gallon jug of water they replaced it immediately. Drinks were perfect and they remembered our preferences at every bar. It could not have been better! See you next year!!”
