“We stay at the Travelodge in Sheffield to move my son out of Uni halls. The Travelodge was easy to get to and parking was next door. The staff were very helpful, especially with the parking. They also informed us on breakfast, dinner and bar times and about door lock times and what to do. The room was clean and tidy, but I didn't get the best night sleep due to the traffic noise as our room over looked the tram bridge. “Great pub, exceptionally clean, comfortable and modern rooms and super friendly staff. As a bonus, the food is of a very high standard and the Guinness was decent. Can’t fault this place in any way, stopped here to be in the area for the snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield, it was a 20 minute taxi ride from here to Sheffield Town Centre. As Arnie said….. I’ll be back 😂”

"The location was great and the staff tried hard, however, everything else was only just okay. The door lock system does not work well with you having to replace the keys frequently. Also, all the public areas are too small. The worst was getting into the breakfast room there were queues and some days impossible to get in."

Hotel or halfway house?

"Let me begin by saying the staff are brilliant, professional and friendly. When I complained at checkout I felt respected and as though my concerns were being taken seriously. 10/10. Otherwise not much good to say about the place. It’s a budget hotel that seems to double up as a halfway house. I didn’t feel very secure there. My first night, I shared a lift with a man so off his head I was both intimidated and worried about him. The second night there was a group drunks partying in the corridor. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my room. But it’s a rough part of town, the hotel can’t help that. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The bed linen, while washed, had some old stains, the pillows were useless, ventilation in the room wasn’t working properly and kept resetting to 23 degrees, there was obviously water damage in the “hall”, wallpaper peeling off, bathroom panel coming loose, loose plug sockets. The room wasn’t dirty per se, but could do with a deep clean. The walls are thin which doesn’t go well with macerating toilets. I did not sleep well at all."
