Sött hem med 4 sovrum med imponerande Trex-däck, skärmad rum, jacuzzi och ett modernt öppen utrymme är det perfekta tillflyktsortet för dig och din familj. Vid stranden av Golden Lake, en lugn kajak- / fiske- / badsjö på Pigeon Creek, kommer du att njuta av de lugna dagarna och ett centralt läge för många aktiviteter i regionen, inklusive Pokagon State Park och Trine University.

På bottenvåningen finns ett stort öppet område med enorm utsikt över bassängen en av sjön via välvda tak och massiva fönster. Det finns två sovrum (en drottning, ett med två enkelsängar) på bottenvåningen med ett badrum med dusch.

På övervåningen finns ett vardagsrum med 55 "Smart TV med DVD-spelare och parabol-TV. Det finns två sovrum på övervåningen: Det stora sovrummet (King) och ett stort sovrum med en queen size-säng. Det finns också ett stort badrum på övervåningen med ett stort jacuzzi-bubbelpool, perfekt för blötläggning och avkoppling.

Vid sjön finns det tre kajaker och två uppblåsta paddleboards för din användning när du utforskar Golden Lake och Pigeon Creek. Du kan paddla norrut till Hogback Lake (146 tunnland). Du är välkommen att starta din egen båt och binda den till bryggan, förutsatt att du följer sjöns regler. Speedbåtar och jetski är inte tillåtna eftersom det är en "no wake" (10 mph limit) sjö.

Golden Lake är inte en "resort" sjö, men är mycket naturlig och i en lantlig Indiana-miljö. Sjönivåerna varierar mycket och det finns alla slags naturliga element som påverkar strandlinjen. Vi tillhandahåller några verktyg som du kan använda men alla gäster måste ha licens.

Detta är den typ av plats du vill återvända till varje år för att "få din fix" av avkoppling och förnyelse. Det är därför det kallas "Sanctuary" på Golden Lake.

Accommodations were fine. Played two full days of golf. Nice to have short distance to lake James and Angola. Short drive to Michigan also. Only drawback is it would be nice to have downstairs tv. Overall great time. Thx

Trine Grad Party!

We are from southern Indiana and our daughter and son-in-law now live out of state. We met here for a short, family vacation centered around our son’s graduation from Trine in May 2025. It was not warm enough to enjoy the water, but this was the perfect house for a small, family-oriented grad party. There were MANY thoughtful extras that previous VRBO stays have not had. Family and friends all commented on the exceptional view and the back deck area. The short distance to Trine and other amenities was perfect. Ample parking and safe walking for grandparents. Would definitely go back to this location again!
Prepping for my kid’s grad party is easy when the view is this GREAT.

A true Sanctuary

Our group of five older women, all cousins, enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary on Golden Lake. If you love peace and quiet with a beautiful view, this is the place. We had plenty of room to spread out, or to gather together comfortably. The screened porch was our favorite spot. Rain or shine, it was a lovely place to sit and watch the lake, the birds, and boats gliding by. We were disappointed that the VRBO listing promised 2 full and 2 half baths. The home has two bathrooms.

Family Thanksgiving

Property was very well maintained and nicely decorated. WiFi connection was important to us and it worked well. There was a nice view of the lake. The colder weather kept us inside so we didn’t take advantage of the large deck area or any of the water sports available. Host was easy to communicate with and respected our privacy. We will certainly consider staying again in the future with no hesitation.

Girls golf outing without clubs....LOL

Nice property and well stocked. Location was very good as we could get to Angola, Pokagon, Freemont and Auburn within a few minutes. We didn't use any of the outdoor stuff much because it wasn't warm enough for us oldies. However it looked like they had plenty for anyone to do!!

Absolutely Wonderful Getaway!

The home is absolutely perfect. Plenty of room with great views of the lake. The kitchen is open to the living room. The bedrooms are great size and comfortable. There is a nice TV room upstairs. The deck is perfect for relaxing and having meals outside. There are plenty of water toys - kayaks, paddle boards, floats and a canoe. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway. It was very clean and contact with the host was simple with quick replies. Would love to go again!!

Golden stay on Golden Lake

Five of us (sisters and husbands) gathered at "The Sanctuary" for a five-night stay. When the previous guests left early, the owners allowed us to check into the home earlier than the listed time! That was certainly appreciated. One bonus of staying here is that the neighbors are very friendly. We took walks several days, and homeowners stopped to say hello; people just driving by all waved to us. We took full advantage of the porch and large deck for reading and sharing meals.

The Perfect Vacation

My husband and I had, what he described as, the perfect vacation spending 2 weeks at The Sanctuary. Everything you could need is thoughtfully provided. Our family and guests used all of the watercraft and fishing equipment. Above all, the beauty and restful feeling that greets you everyday is beyond description. Wonderful space & home

We enjoyed a winter visit with family and friends. Although we didn’t get snow during our visit it was cold and we enjoyed the location on the lake. Our daughter attempted ice skating for the first time and we also did some ice fishing. The amenities of the home are great, loved the layout and design. The location was convenient for us to visit family in Fort Wayne, but also be near family that lives further North in Fremont. And we were not far from Angola and had shopping and food options nearby. Thank you for opening up your home and offering it to us to rent and enjoy.

Great New Year's Meeting Spot

The three sister's with spouses have not gathered for years! We planned a New Years meet part way in between Chicago & Bluffton Ohio. The house was perfect, beautiful and a cozy stay for games, cooking and family cheer. The state park up the road was a fun outing and my sisters and I walked around the lake for exercise. Terry was a great host and the house had many extra's. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Exceptional quality and communication

We stay in a lot of places, but this property stood out for cleanliness, lay out and communication. The pictures do not do the property justice. 4 large bedrooms were more than enough room. The deck was amazing, as was the screened in porch. The area is absolutely serene...so quiet and lovely. And I can not say enough about the exceptional communication with Terry! I can't wait to go back!

Relaxing weekend getaway!

Great lake home, beautiful location

Had a wonderful, relaxing week at The Sanctuary! The lake is beautiful. The house was very clean and well stocked with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Great house and location

Owners are great. Terry clearly has invested time and effort to make staying at this house a great experience. The house is clean and has everything we needed. Water equipment and raft at the house was perfect to use on the lake. Great things to do close by including horseback riding at Pokagon, shopping at Fremont and Hartford winery.

Full of Thoughtfulness!

I have never been to a rental house that was so well stocked and thought out. The owners thought of everything that you might possibly need for a fun and relaxing stay on this peaceful lake. Throughout our stay we felt so welcomed. Terry and Kelly left excellent information about the house and the area. They were very helpful and responsive.
