“Note this is a brand new hotel. Overall this location exceeded my expectations. Caveat, they do NOT have any pull out beds or rollaway cots. A 1 Queen room sleeps 2 NOT 3. This is a beautiful building with a very modern and spacious feel. The grab-and-go area has the usual items, and a full-service bar and "bistro" offers quick snack-like meals ($$$). “Great place to stay”

“This hotel is suitable for one night but not longer stays. The AC/heater unit is extremely noisy, requiring it to be turned off entirely. It's also very loud from the street. The breakfast offers a very limited selection by European standards, perhaps average for US standards. However, this likely reflects the price paid. If you're just passing through Birmingham and need an inexpensive option for one night, it's acceptable.”

“This was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. We waited in the lobby for 2 hours for them to “clean a room” for us after they tried to turn us away saying they didn’t have a room for us, despite having booked and paid for it 2 weeks prior. Imagine my surprise when we finally get into the room and it is filthy. Half of the pillows had no cases, we had no shower curtain, one of the stove burners was almost totally pulled off, there were visible crumbs on the floor, hair and a dental cheek...

“Place was under renovation and we were offered $10 off next Drury stay..no thanks ”
