“This property is exactly what the pictures show. Peaceful, serene, and exceptionally welcoming. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The caretaker is a gem, she took care of all the little things that make a stay truly memorable. We needed a cot and blow up mattress for 2 small children, she prepped them and added extras around the home for them to explore as well. The AC and fans in every room kept us very comfortable even in mid summer, and the pool is a perfect relief...

Even after we walked through door and checked out the surroundings, to the tune of cricket song, it felt like we stepped into another dimension so different from our tired, stressed-out reality. “The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. We used it as a base to enjoy activities on Cape Trib - the Discovery Centre, walks, Reef trip. The house is further than we expected from dinner places, (except Crocodylus), with the Cow Bay Hotel now closed. So we did feel a little isolated. We walked to the exquisite beach a couple of times - an easy 20 mins away.”

“Newell Beach is the perfect distance from Port Douglas. Close enough to get to it when you need to, but far enough away from the crowds that it feels like your own piece of paradise. The house is wonderfully open and light with a huge deck overlooking the pool and beach. We had breakfast there most days. When the weather was less kind, the kitchen and living areas are huge and have pretty much everything you could want. I highly recommend it”

“it is a lovely property in the rain forest with a gorgeous view, a beautiful semi-outdoor bathroom and cooking facilities and is perfect for a stay for a couple or a single person who want(s) to have a very comfortable nature experience. “The home was very comfortable to stay in, and even though neighbours are around in this rainforest space, it was still very private. Being perched on the side of the hill the views are expansive, and it catches any breeze making it a comfortable place in the tropics. “Three nights of bliss - we wish we'd booked longer! It was a beautifully relaxing few days after a busy couple of weeks in Cairns. The location is beautiful, walking distance to the beach. The kids enjoyed exploring the creek on the property, and it is close to other touristy places to explore. We saw cassowaries and a wild pig with piglets!”

“From the time we checked in we felt relaxed… The outdoor kitchen was an absolute winner for us. I would like to do that for my own property down the line, - as well as the outdoor bathroom. The only thing I would change would be some of the lighting to a warm light, as there was quite a lot of blue fluorescent lights in the place which reduced the ambience - otherwise a top spot for exploring Cow Bay all the way up to Cape Tribulation. “The setting was beautiful and peaceful but if you dont like to be visited by Daintree insects during the night or are private like me with my bathroom habits with my partner yhrn this place may not suit you. At night bugs are attracted to the light and the bathroom and toilet is completely open to the elements meaning all types of insects ventured into the bathroom at night which was really stressful as you didnt know what you would find when u opened the door. Also if you need to go to toilet...
