“Canyon Lake Resort is rather old, but well taken care of. Clean and comfortable I've visited quite a few dodgy hotels around the US where ones have let the interiors deteriorate, this was certainly not the case here even though some of the furniture could do with an upgrade. The rice was rather steep for our visit, in July 2018, but other hotels in the area were even more expensive.”

We booked rooms for our drive back home and we got here at 8:15pm and walked into a lobby with 3 other groups trying to check in through expedia reservations and not one reservation was in the susatem. “Located in the Black Hills and very close to Mt. Rushmore. The food was excellent and the room was huge. The staff was fantastic, they are very friendly and helpful. This year was like our 5th year staying there because the wife and I go to the Sturgis Rally. At the last minute we had to take our almost 7 year old grandson with us and they were so good to him. we will definitely be going back next year and possibly later this year. ”

“I wish we'd had longer because the room was super nice and the bed was SO comfortable. We even managed to get a good cup of coffee out of the little coffee pod machine in the room. We all know those machines never make a good cup of coffee but I swear this one did. Very quiet, even with Sturgis in town. ”
