“We needed a room with two beds. When we searched on Expedia, we used the filter that allows you to search for a hotel room with two beds. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there were only rooms available with one bed. We were also told that it is the fault of Expedia that the Expedia website leads one to believe that there are two beds when there is actually only one.”

“I have stayed T this hotel frequently, however, over the last few years the maintenance has declined significantly. During my most recent visit I experienced much of the same lack of upkeep with this property. The hand rail in the shower had broken and it was pasted together flimsy. The shower curtain was dingy, as though it had been bleached. The water rose in the bathtub as I was running the shower. The bathroom fixtures are broken. No stoppers in the sink or bathtub. “We booked this accommodation as it was close to a venue we were attending. There was lots of on street parking. This is a gorgeous, grand old home. Note, Wilson House sits near a busy street. However, once inside, due to triple glazed windows, you will not hear the street noise at all! Also, be aware, rooms are on the 2nd-4th floor and there is no elevator. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were modern. Breakfast was very good. The owners were a pleasure to talk with.”

“Clean and good-sized rooms. Nice pool and very comfortable beds. The most outstanding feature was the chef and the breakfast. Chef Nell and Edwin were wonderfully welcoming and attentive and the breakfast was great. Other staff were just OK. Reception desk seemed stressed and/or under-staffed. Housekeeping did not attend to our room at all during our 2-night stay and we had to request towels twice. But overall excellent value and would recommend to others.”

“Rooms size is ok. Bathroom layout is awkward with the tub separating the sink and toilet. Both the room door and the bathroom door are misaligned and have to be slammed to close them. Some other units might have the same issues and it can be quite noisy at times. The only thing we like is the location of the hotel.”
