Lämna de vardagliga sakerna i livet bakom och upptäck dig, dina egna tankar och känslor. Bakgården är huvudattraktion för oss på Adobe Mountain Retreat. Gräset som omger bäcken, bron där vi satt och danglade fötterna i den kalla bergsströmmen, föreställde familjeförsamlingar runt lägereldet. Det första steget genom ytterdörren sa "Välkommen hem". Under våra 7 år har vi gjort mycket ombyggnad. Kvalitetsarbetet är uppenbart det ögonblick du går igenom entrédörren. Vedspisen mesmerizes, belyser och värmer trägolv. De korkade takbalkarna, kallade vigor, reflekterar århundraden gammal arkitektur. Tystnaden talar om reflektion om idag, igår och imorgon, om liv och syfte. Den mörka himlen ser tillbaka genom årtusendens tid och visar en evighet av himmelska kroppar. Ja, vi uppmanar varmt dig att komma och uppleva lockande överklagandet av Adobe Mountain Retreat.
Den 1600 kvm ft för ett rymligt 2 sovrum hus som är rullstols-vänlig. Alla rum är stora. Den mysiga, bekväma vardagsrummet har vedspis med gott om ved. TV med DVD och video spelare finns i vardagsrummet och Buffalo Room. Buffalo-rummet tjänar också som ett extra sovande område. Det finns också möjlighet till djurliv från Buffalo Room och matsalen. Många gånger har vi sett älg, coyote, fåglar och mer. Hummingbirds är en riktig attraktion hos matare på däck.
Särskild anteckning: Sovrum 2 är åtkomligt genom sovrummet. Båda har dubbelsängar.
Buffalo rummet ligger på motsatta sidan av huset, vilket gör det ganska privat från sovrummet och sovrummet 2, och har en bäddsoffa och 2 enkelsängar.
Rökning är inte tillåten i huset. Utsedda utanför rökning områden tillhandahålls.

We had a fabulous stay! The house had great room for our family and all the amenities we needed. We went for skiing and the house is only 25 minutes from Sipapu, with a Family Dollar along the way for anything we forgot or ran out of. We look forward to coming back to stay again!

Jim and Marilu were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. The property was an unexpected treat with a beautiful creek running through the backyard with hammocks and a fire pit on the banks. The house is gorgeous and full of Southwest charm. It was comfortable, spacious, and well-stocked. I can’t recommend this stay enough. We will be back!

Great getaway!

This cabin was perfect for our family! Very roomy and great outdoor space. There were a lot of extras with the house, games and toys for kids! Very nice owners and great area! We would stay there again!

This was a return visit for us. We don’t feel like our summer is complete without a stay at this mountain retreat. Hosts are terrific and always around if needed. The house is pet friendly and our dog enjoys trips to the creek every day to play in the mountain stream on property. We love the deck on back of the house. View is terrific. Laundry facilities are really nice to have. Kitchen is terrific.

Our stay was wonderful! The home was clean and cozy. The host was an amazing person, very friendly and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We really enjoyed the conversation cards at the dinner table. It allowed great topics of discussion with our kids. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Stay for the creek!

The house was perfect for our family. Lots of space for all of us, and the perfect location for day trips around the area. We enjoyed coffee every morning, and after dinner time, down by the creek. We loved seeing the hummingbirds, yellow monarch butterflies, American Robins, and even a brave muskrat on the property. Necessities (coffee, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. ) were provided, and we loved seeing the kids master the VHS and DVD players.

The place is much roomer than the pictures. I love the layout of the place. The car port was nice since it snow on Saturday. My group really enjoy our stay. The host was always there when we needed them. I would definitely stay here again!

Great property with fantastic views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space was large and well stocked with everything we needed. In addition, there were VCR and DVD players with a wide range of movies that came in handy after a long day spent skiing (in addition to streaming television access). Great location that offered a fantastic view. We will be staying again!

Like home

Jim and Mari Lu were great hosts, responsive and very welcoming. We felt like we were at home. Mari Lu gave us some of her delicious salsa. The hummingbirds were plentiful and a joy to watch. We and our pup enjoyed the nearby stream and the deck.

Restful week in the beautiful Norte

Jim and Marilu's house is very comfortable with a good sized kitchen and dining area plus plenty of sleeping space. The kitchen is well equipped for longer stays. The area by the creek is lovely and I enjoyed having coffee and listening to the water and birds. The deck is also wonderful to eat or sit and enjoy the views. My friends really enjoyed visiting. I liked that the house was far enough from the main highway to not hear traffic yet close enough for easy access. There is good hiking and skiing within a half hour drive. I met Marilu and she is a very sweet person and kind and generous host. My only suggestions would be to make sure stair areas going to the creek are clear of overhanging branches and provide shade structure or umbrellas on the deck.

We booked last minute and everything went easy and smooth. Loved the place- especially the wood burning stove. House is well stocked and we really loved the welcome lemon cake. What a sweet gesture. Will definitely come again.

South of Penasco

Dirt road to quiet and privacy. Cool evenings . About 45 minutes to Taos which has great food and the Taos Cow. Wife loves the shopping (e.g.Moxie). Josey had a fenced yard and a creek to splash in. We have multiple stays here and the owners have become like family.

Cozy stay close to Sipapu

We happened to hit a snowstorm just right and had a great weekend skiing at Sipapu. Our hosts had a nice cozy fire going for us when we got there, and they even gave us some tokens for discounts at one of the wineries nearby.One little piece of advice - cell service is pretty bad up there, so be sure to have the door code saved somewhere, because you may not be able to pull up the app. The wifi works great though, once you get in!

Great Getaway

Cute little house not too far from Sipapu and Taos. We had a group of 7 ppl and we all loved it. We got to see snowfall at the cabin and it was gorgeous, especially over the back yard. Everything was well stocked, we love having the washer and dryer and the wood stove was nice as well. There isn't a lot in the area so we cooked at the cabin a lot and the only thing we missed was a dishwasher. The host are awesome and readily available if you need anything. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great vacation!

2nd stay this summer and we loved it. Great property. MariLu and Jim are super hosts. Great Wi-Fi - streaming worked great so we could keep up with Astros. Our dog enjoyed fenced area for dogs to move around and daily trips to the creek behind the house. Very relaxing vacation. We love the new comfortable couch. Great kitchen! Loved the deck and carport. If your lucky, MariLu and Jim might bring you some homemade salsa. Already planning for next summer.

Perfect Mountain Home

We loved staying at Jim and Mari Lu's home in the mountains above Santa Fe. We came for the feast day celebrations at Picuris Pueblo, for the weaving in Chimayo, and for hiking in Bandolier National Monument, all of which are easy to access, as are Taos and Santa Fe, which gave us all kinds of options. The home is on a safe, quiet mountain road, with a lovely creek out back and hammocks we took full advantage of. It is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the coffee machine is stocked, and the WiFi is strong. Jim and Mari Lu, who offered homemade salsa to welcome us, were the perfect hosts, unobtrusive but available when we needed them. The "neighborhood" is very quiet, and the night sky is an astronomer's dream. We look forward to returning.
