Park your car in the cottage’s private parking (there’s room for two cars) and make your way to these two lovely retreats – one picturesque brick and flint cottage, and one lovely barn conversion. Step inside the barn and you’ll be greeted by an inviting open-plan kitchen/dining area that seamlessly combines rustic charm with exotic elegance. To your left, you’ll find a spacious lounge area that boasts high ceilings, exposed beams and a beautifully designed fireplace. Completing the ground-floor layout is a handy modern shower room. Climb the barn’s stairs to a mezzanine-style king-size bedroom boasting a timeless four-poster bed. Sunlight streams through the large windows, accentuating the rich textures and eclectic style. Alternatively, the complex’s charming 17th-century stone-built cottage boasts original beams, a quaint chimney and classic slate flooring. Tastefully furnished with period antiques, it features a contemporary kitchen and open-plan lounge/dining room, warmed by a cosy wood burner. The cottage boasts one king, one twin and one single bedroom – one bedroom leading directly into another. A thoughtfully designed bathroom featuring a bathtub with a seat that caters to the low, sloping ceilings typical of this period property, completes the cottage’s layout. Surrounded by ancient woodlands, the enclosed outdoor area is lovely with a patio with a seating area, a BBQ, and a fantastic hot tub where you can unwind. Nestled among charming cottages, a lush lawn unfurls, leading to a delightful play area. Here, children find joy in the simple pleasures of swings and a slide, where laughter blends with the gentle rustle of leaves. Children must be supervised at all times while using the play area.
