“What an absolutely amazing stay! We had booked with another property for a 4 day vacation, but only stayed one night due to a terrible experience. I looked for a hotel that first day, and was pleasantly surprised to find this jewel. My family and I were treated phenomenally well by a stellar staff. Many, many thanks to you all, and to Marriott for a wonderful stay!”

“Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.”

“The place was not properly cleaned, we found new years' party hats under the sofa (from the week before), food stains on the walls in the kitchen, a badly cleaned bathroom floor. Just not what you'd hope for, but the place was really good in all other aspects. ”

“We stayed in the Loom House, not until we arrived did we know we were to occupy the oldest habitable log home in NC. While the bed was comfortable, the small fridge was iced up and smelled of old food. There was no TV. There were nail heads sticking up out of the floor upstairs and the floor creaked loudly every time we got out of bed to walk to the bathroom. “We did not have a room in the house, instead had very small room in an out building. Room was musty. Had small window AC unit. No tv. Some stains on old pink carpet. Main house locked at night so no access to coffee or TV. No ice available. WiFi went out every night and there was no cell service so we couldn’t check on our house and dogs. Inn keepers / owners Bernard were very pleasant however we would not stay there again.”
