“I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. The only thing to consider is the roosters. If you want to sleep in - close the windows. We didn't, as the black sand beach was all ours at sunrise,...

The large room, access to the full kitchen/common area, the quiet location surrounded by the rainforest, and the private deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing visit. The inn has a great location just outside the national park. We were able to stop at several places before they became busy. “The accommodations were terrific, a great value in superb location for visiting Volcanoes National Park and Hilo area. Spacious, comfortable beds. Host was very accommodating by offering to deliver to-go breakfasts as we had an early morning flight. I recommend the Lanikai Brewing Co for dinner if you stay here- the best food we ate in Hawaii for adults and kids- also great beer and excellent cocktail lists with low-key come as you are feel (i.e. sweatpants).”

“Lite svårt att förstå var man skulle checka in, vilket var i "hardware store" på dag tid och Thai restaurang på kvälls tid. Sedan låg stugan en bit bort. Väldigt trevlig stuga med en välkomstpresent bestående av ett jätte gott banan bröd och en hel del frukt. Skön säng, bra tryck i duschen, nära till Vulcan natur området, nära till vulkan vin provningarna. “The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. ”
