The Boathouse is an older house, but has everything you need, and is very clean. The feature that sets this property far ahead of others you might choose in Trinidad California is the view from the living area and the wrap around porch -- it's amazing! There are no buildings or other obstructions in front of you. You are looking out over the edge of the cliffside, so you see the entire Bay and down the coastline to the south -- gorgeous surf against the beaches and rocky coastline, some kayaks and fishing boats, and lots of birds and dolphins. We didn't see any whales, but apparently they are sometimes seen from the house. The windows are so large, and you're so close to the water that it feels like you are sitting in a panoramic view area on a cruise ship, while sitting in the living room in your comfortable easy chair. There is also a large TV and a second comfortable sofa in another corner of the living room. The wifi worked great. Both bedrooms and baths were small, but very well appointed and comfy. The kitchen is small, but we had no plans to make big meals, as we were spending our days in the Redwoods National and State Parks, and on the nearby beaches. Trinidad State Beach is beautiful, and very easy to access. We had everything we needed for making breakfasts and quick lunches/dinners. The Murphys grocery was great, and we also liked all of the Trinidad restaurants that we tried. Washer and dryer looked new. Host was very responsive, and nice!
