Med en hÀrlig utsikt över det omgivande landskapet Àr Lamorna Cottage en perfekt plats att koppla av, varva ner och njuta av det bÀsta av South Cornwall, inklusive mÄnga fantastiska strÀnder i nÀrheten. Del av en attraktiv stenlada pÄ Tucoyse Farm (inte lÀngre en fungerande gÄrd) som gÄr tillbaka till Doomsday Book. PeriodkaraktÀrsegenskaper inkluderar stenhöjningar, inramade trÀfönster, breda skifferbrÀdor och synliga balkar. En bekvÀm och nyinredda lounge nu med en braskamin och smart-TV, rymlig matsal, nyrenoverat kök med tvÀttmaskin och diskmaskin. Och pÄ övervÄningen (nyinredda) badrummet och tvÄ sovrum (dubbelrum och tvÄbÀddsrum) med nya sÀngar. Plus gratis WiFi överallt. Förutom vÄr egen stora grÀsmatta finns en ytterligare grindig grÀsmatta framtill och franska dörrar pÄ baksidan som öppnar sig mot ett grusat gÄrdsomrÄde med bord och bÀnkar, perfekt för en al fresco frukost. De mycket populÀra Lost Gardens of Heligan ligger bara 3 miles upp pÄ vÀgen, Mevagissey Àr 4 miles away liksom minst 5 mer anstÀndiga strÀnder, alla med sin egen karaktÀr. Eden-projektet ligger en kort bilresa bort. Waitrose har precis öppnat sig pÄ vÀg in i Truro, en katedralstad som har mÄnga andra anstÀndiga butiker. Tesco och Asda ligger ocksÄ inom rÀckhÄll. (En gÀst ordnade ocksÄ leverans frÄn Sainsbury's). Kustpromenaden lÀngs Roseland Heritage Coast mellan Mevagissey och St Mawes Àr en av de mest spektakulÀra strÀckorna i landet, inklusive dolda strÀnder och vikar, smÄ fiskebyar och majestÀtiska havsklippor (nu betecknat ett omrÄde med enastÄende naturskönhet).

Tired

A great location but the property needs some TLC! As a dog friendly cottage, it is not really. The garden is not fenced and by the road. We were told that the dishwasher was not working and then there were bi tea towels to dry up! 2 days after arriving and asking about this, we were informed that the machine was now working. The washing line in the garden was broken and only usable after finding a couple of screws ro hold it up!. All in all, we would not go back to this property which is a shame due to its great location. Not recomended.

Peaceful location

We had a super week in this lovely part of Cornwall. The house was spacious, well appointed and very very quiet. St Austell and the local beaches were in easy reach and the stunning coastline yielded great walks. With Eden and Heligon nearby there was plenty to keep us occupied.

Sehr gute Lage, ruhig, schöne Umgebung

Sehr sauber, schön eingerichtetes Haus, nette Nachbarn. Ideal fĂŒr Leute die die Ruhe schĂ€tzen. Viele Möglichkeiten mit dem Hund draußen etwas zu unternehmen. Tolle StrĂ€nde in der NĂ€he. Viele Ausflugsziele gut zu erreichen. Super KĂŒchenausstattung. Freundliche Kommunikation mit Vermieter.

Wir hatten schöne Ferien

Ein schönes, sehr sauberes, recht dunkles Cottage in den Wiesen Cornwalls. Absolut lĂ€ndlich, ruhig! Einspurige Straßen in der ganzen Gegend!!! Leider fehlte jegliche Einweisung in das Haus (z.B. Heizung), so dass wir viele Fragen per Mail mit dem Besitzer klĂ€ren mussten. Herrliche Lage zur Erkundung der schönen Landschaft und KĂŒste Cornwalls. Gutes Pub in St. Ewe!

Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage. Very well equipped in quiet location near to Mevagissey. Really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and relaxing and a nice location to base our trips around Cornwall.

Nicht ganz das, was wir erwartet hatten.

Es war schön, dass wir gleich Tee, Kaffee und Kekse zur VerfĂŒgung hatten. Vielen Dank dafĂŒr. Es gab ausreichend Toilettenpapier und KĂŒchenrollen und die Betten wurden innerhalb von 14 Tagen noch einmal frisch bezogen und die HandtĂŒcher ausgetauscht. Vom Außenbereich waren wir enttĂ€uscht. Die Sitzgruppe vor dem Haus war sehr klein und die Straße, die wohl normalerweise nicht viel befahren ist, geht direkt vorbei. Wir wurden beim Essen und draußen sitzen eingestaubt. 3 Tage am StĂŒck kamen von morgens um 7.00 bis abends um 10.00 Uhr große Landmaschinen mit Jauche vorbei. Das ganze Haus hat gestunken, es war kaum zum Aushalten. Da kann der Vermieter natĂŒrlich nichts dafĂŒr, aber fĂŒr uns war es sehr schlimm. Wir waren etwas enttĂ€uscht, dass es von dort keinen einzigen Wanderweg gibt und das Laufen auf den Straßen kann ich nicht empfehlen. Man muss also immer mit dem Auto los. Die Wegbeschreibung durch den Vermieter war super. Generell ist es eine ruhige Lage.

Perfect base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula

The cottage is well situated to explore the surrounding area and beautiful towns and beaches. A car is needed, but everything is within close driving distance (Carne beach is about a 15 min drive, Mevagissey about 20 min, the Eden Project less than 30 min). The cottage is well equipped with a well researched and helpful guest guide for the area, selection of books and games, and the kitchen has everything you need. Note that there is no bath (only a shower) but it's really a minor point, it's a lovely cottage that we'll be staying in again!

Lovely rural location

The property suited us two adults very well. The space was as described, comfortable, and big enough for our needs. The garden is separated by a very minor road which was a surprise but there is a shared gated grassed courtyard attached. We liked being out of the way and enjoying evening walks along the quiet lanes.

Fabulous stay at a beautiful property

This is a lovely cottage in a fabulous, peaceful location. There are no amenities close by, so you have to drive which was not a problem to us as we combined shopping with other trips. Close to the lovely fishing port of Mevagissey which had lots of bars and restaurants as well as a fish and chip shop. St Austell was only 5 miles away where there is an Asda and a Tesco. The cottage had everything you could possibly need - extremely well equipped and obviously recently refurbished. The only very slight comment would be that maybe a slightly larger television (thought the one that was there was a very good smart tv). Also maybe another set of crockery as there was sonly 4 place settings - this was fine as it is a 4 person property but as it has a fabulous full size dishwasher it meant we put the dishwasher on more than we needed!! The other slight criticism was the check in/ check out times. You couldn't get in until 5pm, and had to vacate by 9am. Even taking into consideration covid, this is still quite a large window and most other properties we have rented are check-in from 2pm and vacate by 10am. Nonetheless a fabukous holiday in a wonderful cottage - we will definitely return.

Fantastic family holiday

What a absolutely beautiful property. It was everything we could have wanted and more. It was like stepping foot into someone’s home rather than a rental. Nothing was missing, every small detail was thought about and the location was perfect. A great base camp to explore the delights of East Cornwall. I would book this property again in a heartbeat! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Family Holiday

This was in a great location for loads of beaches, walks and Eden/Heligan. The lounge and kitchen were great spaces (more plates and some newer pans needed). The beds were comfy and bathroom fine (shower OK but 5/10). We didnt get to sit out in the garden much as it was cloudy - but it was well looked after. Recommend staying here for sure. Just to note there are no local facilities and pub is a very steep walk away. We went knowing this and it was what we were looking for.

Beautiful location

Just returned from a wonderful week away at this comfortable property. Can honestly say it was the most well equipped holiday rental we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location with lots to do but a car is definitely essential as there are very few accessible footpaths close by and the lanes are narrow with no footpaths. There was however a large field close by to exercise the dog. The host and management company were very responsive. Would highly recommend and definitely book again.

Lovely Cornwall cottage

Had a great week at Lamorna. Lovely cottage with lots of space for the family. Really quiet location with easy access to some fantastic beaches
 Need to plan ahead though as quite a drive to grab any supplies.
