The Space:

Cabin 440 is a charming, hand-crafted log cabin of 100 m² with a spacious loft (50–60 m²) and outdoor storage rooms — available for weekly rental to families only. (Please note: groups of friends are not accepted.)

Inside, all furniture is handmade in Trysil by a local craftsman, giving the cabin a unique and cozy atmosphere. The large loft (50–60 m²) is divided into two connected rooms, each with a small table and chairs — a beloved play area for children where they can enjoy games and fun on their own. The loft includes a radio/cassette player, mattresses, duvets, and pillows.



Nestled in one of Trysil’s most beautiful locations, the cabin offers a fantastic ski-in/ski-out position, just 30 meters from slope no. 13 and 20 meters from cycling trails. You can easily access the slopes without crossing a single road — a big plus for families with children. The surroundings are peaceful and private, with no disturbing noise from neighboring cabins.



This is the perfect retreat for a family seeking a relaxing holiday in Trysilfjellet. Enjoy panoramic views over the valley and into Sweden from one of the area’s finest plots. A large, snow-cleared parking area sits right outside the cabin for easy access year-round.

An indoor storage room provides an extra refrigerator with freezer, shelves, and tools for guests to use.

The tiled bathroom features underfloor heating, a washing machine, shower, sink, hairdryers, and a drying rack.

There are two available bedrooms (a third is private):



One bedroom with two bunk beds



One bedroom with a double bed (150x200 cm)

Each bedroom has duvets, pillows, and a chest of drawers.



The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, Dolce Gusto machine, kettle, toaster, waffle iron, steak knives, and more.

A cellar under the kitchen provides frost-free storage in winter and a cool pantry in summer — perfect for food and beverages all year round.



Relax by the large stone fireplace, complete with a wood storage nook and wine rack — perfect for cozy evenings by the fire. The living area features comfortable seating (sofa set 3+2+1), a rocking chair, and a large dining table with benches and chairs.



The entrance hall has slate flooring with underfloor heating, and the cabin is equipped with a heat pump, ceiling fan, and thermostat control for comfort in all seasons.

For safety, there are smoke detectors in all rooms, four large fire extinguishers, a fire blanket, and an additional small extinguisher in the kitchen.

Outside, you’ll find lockable storage rooms for skis, bikes, and other gear — complete with sleds, a kubb set, and boccia balls for your use. The large terrace features a movable cast iron fireplace/barbecue, windshields, and garden furniture, while the spacious outdoor area is ideal for summer games like badminton, kubb, and boccia.



Getting Around:

Getting around Trysilfjell 440 is a breeze! Whether you're driving or just want to explore, it's super easy. You can park for free right at the property, which is really convenient. If you're flying in, the closest big airport is Oslo Airport (OSL), about a 3-hour drive from Trysilfjell 440. Public transport isn't right at the property, but the town of Trysil is nearby and has some local buses. We think having a car is the best way to see everything and explore the beautiful areas around at your own speed. Enjoy the drive and the amazing Norwegian scenery! Just remember that travel times can change depending on traffic and the roads, especially when it's busy.

Please note: Check-in is at 5:00 PM and because of high demand on our cleaning service, check-in on Sundays starts at 7:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding. , check-out 11 AM.. We appreciate your cooperation with these times. Free parking is provided for your vehicles. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. Pets are not allowed on the property. Please remember that this property features ski-in/ski-out access; use caution when accessing and leaving the slopes.
