  • *Update: Renovation underway to allow for modern amenities while maintaining this historical home's timeless, vintage charm. All exterior doors have been replaced. Kitchen countertops and cabinets are slated to be replaced in November 2026. The large upstairs bathroom near the bunk areas is being completely renovated November - December 2026.

    Welcome to Cake by the Ocean! This classic Tybee beach house is a perfect blend of southern charm and modern comfort, nestled amidst lush landscaping on Tybee Island. This two-story property offers both a main house and a guest house, providing ample space and privacy for up to 10 guests with five bedrooms and five bathrooms in total.

    Step into the main house where the first floor invites you into a cozy living area adorned with plush furnishings and a smart TV. The living room seamlessly connects to a large screened-in porch, creating the perfect indoor-outdoor flow. This porch is designed for relaxation, complete with plenty of seating, another smart TV, and a dining space to enjoy meals in the warm coastal breeze. The full kitchen is a chef’s dream, featuring modern appliances including a gas stove, a Keurig for coffee lovers, and a kitchen island with bar counter seating. A separate dining table offers an additional place for gathering.

    The second floor of the main house hosts four beautiful bedrooms, each designed for your comfort and privacy. Each of the four full bathrooms are stocked with fresh, fluffy towels. The second-floor screened-in porch offers a peaceful retreat with a porch swing, ideal for a quiet morning coffee or evening relaxation.

    The guest house offers even more space, with a fifth bedroom, a full bathroom, and a handy kitchenette. This separate area is perfect for families or couples looking for a little extra privacy while still being close to the action.

    Outside, you'll find a private oasis with an in-ground pool (heated for a fee), a fenced-in yard, and a fire pit for cozy nights under the stars. The outdoor area is further enhanced with a gas grill for BBQs and an outdoor hot and cold shower, adding to the convenience of beachside living.

We loved our stay! Check in was super easy. The place was adorable and my friends and I loved relaxing my the pool as an option away from the beach and crowds.

The place was GORGEOUS! It is very much a historic property but had modern amenities to help it feel modern! Only issues we had was that the gates to exit the property had keys in them but the code did not match the house and we had to keep up with the keys. Also the door from the screen porch to the house didn’t close or lock properly. Overall the door situation was a cluster. One of the can lights in the guest was also hanging out by the cords, and some of the light switches wouldn’t work for the fan. We also had an incident where the landscaper came in through the back fence without warning from the owners or the landscaper himself which concerned us.
