  • Summer Moon är en bedövande vacker villa inbäddat i byn risfält 10 minuter från kulturlivet i Ubud. Känsligt utformade med hemvist nederländska paret med hjälp av lokala material och tekniker, denna dröm-flyktbilen sover bekvämt 6 gäster (och en baby / barn spjälsäng). Alla 3 rum har lyxiga stolp king size-sängar draperade romantiskt med nät, med europeiska madrasser och naturliga ner dunkuddar och sängöverkast.
    Från den avskilda sovrummet på övervåningen och privat yoga-solterrass du kommer att fånga glimtar av Mount Agung, den heliga centrum Bali, eftersom det driver in och ut ur molnet. På morgonen kommer du att höra kvackande ankor som släpps ut i risfält som solen stiger upp genom kokospalmer som kantar din privata floden.
    Alla rum har takfläkt och balinesisk alang-alang (halmtak) är byggda för att maximera det naturliga flödet av luft, fånga vackra svala vindar. Ett sovrum har luftkonditionering om det behövs, men vi mycket sällan använder det i denna milda klimatet. De tre inomhus-utomhus badrum, två med badkar och dubbla dusch, är en riktig höjdpunkt, med vackra lokala stenar och tropiska blommor som växer bredvid din dusch. Dagsfärska handdukar, sängkläder och blommor lägga till i luften av lugn lyx.
    Om du känner för att laga mat Summer Moon har ett fullt utrustat kök med en stor kylskåp om du behöver lagra speciella livsmedel eller läkemedel, och Wayan är mycket glada över att laga mat i egen regi för gäster på begäran.
    Dagar passerar lättjefullt av din privata pool eller på dagen sängar vid floden. Njuter av en drink från poolsidan lounger medan du tittar på solnedgången spektaklet över risfälten, följt av dans eldflugor, är tidpunkten mycket väl spenderade. Om du vill blanda med andra gäster i området, det finns en större 14 meter delad pool som innefattar en ytlig vada område och soldäck. Eller så kan du vandra grannbyn och fält, njuta av den avslappnade, vänliga atmosfären i byn liv. En lokal drivrutin eller taxi är tillgänglig för resor 10 minuter in till stan, eller så kan du hyra en motorcykel, allt för mycket rimliga priser.

Great Spot

We loved our stay at Summer Moon Villa. The villa has a calming environment set in a lush backdrop overlooking the rice fields and away from the craziness of the Ubud town centre. We we're able to disconnect and relax. We had a great time.

Beautiful stay in the rice paddies but close to Ubud

We really enjoyed a great week at Summer Moon, myself husband and teenage daughter. It is a very tranquil location but on the outskirts of Ubud so close to get to shops and restaurants. You do need transport - we used Nyoman (or his son) to drive us everywhere and that worked out very well but if you wanted to be more mobile you would need to hire bikes / car. The housekeeping staff were excellent as was Nyoman the driver, who we would definitely recommend. The villa itself is beautifully designed and in a really perfect setting. Beds were comfortable and we had a relaxing but cultural stay!

Great people and beautiful place. So enjoyed my experience there.

Everything was perfect from being picked up at the airport by Nyoman, the beautiful space, the lovely woman who made the delicious breakfasts, the days trips with Nyoman and the cleanliness and spaciousness of the villa. A glorious way to spend four days.

Fantastisch huis tussen de rijstvelden

Erg mooi huis, rustig gelegen in tussen de rijstvelden op 15 min van Ubud. Grote living en 3 kamers met eigen badkamer. Prive zwembadje ideaal. Perfecte ontvangst en uitleg van Made en ‘s ochtends een uitgebreid ontbijt. Nyoman en Putu zijn de chauffeuurs die je overal heenbrengen. Enige gemis: een wasmachine.

Awesome Ubud villa in the middle of rice fields

Stayed at the villa for 4 nights with my partner and we could not have asked for a better location or villa in Ubud. The property is outside of Ubud centre and a bit set-back from the road which allowed us to quietly enjoy the view and amenities of the villa. The stunning view of rice fields in all three rooms and pool was great although we primarily slept in the room by the pool as that was the only room with air-condition. The second floor room has a view to two different rice fields that were in different stage of rice production. Breakfast was prepared every morning by two sweet ladies who will be missed, Made and Ketut. They made sure that we had everything we need up to and including assistance in planning a dinner at the villa with 3 friends. Made and Ketut graciously coordinated two couple massage appointments for us even though we were running a bit late to one of the appointments. Most importantly, they kept the villa clean, neat and organized while giving us the privacy we were looking for in booking Summer Moon. For transport, we decided to hire Nyoman for most of our activities. Nyoman is a patient and careful driver who knows his way around Ubud and can offer suggestions if needed. Overall, we would highly recommend Summer Moon Villa and would not hesitate to go back the next time we are in Bali. The hospitality and friendly personal service provided by the staff is truly special and will be missed.

Just tranquil and peaceful with amazing views

A natural and beautiful villa away from the hustle and bustle of busy Ubud, but not to far to enjoy Ubud city. So peaceful - slept so well. Staff were amazing and such a treat to have daily cooked breakfasts in the villa. A well presented and very clean villa amongst the beautiful ricefields.

Beautiful villa in the rice paddies

I have been to Ubud about a dozen times over the past 15 years, and my travel companions have been even more over the past 35 years. We've watched it become very busy, the traffic heavy, the town has lost it's quiet spots. So we looked outside of Ubud and found this fabulous haven south of town in Lodtunduh. We rented Summer Moon Villa, which isn't this exact one but has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, a private pool and is right on the rice padi. Very clean, the friendly and happy staff made us very tasty breakfasts every morning and the security cards were super nice and walked us to our villa when we came home after dark. We had a kitchen that we could use any time, which was great. They have teamed up with masseuses (highly recommend!) and a local chef who can come to your villa to give you a cooking class (wish we had done this). A highlight was hearing the village preparing for a ngaben (a cremation ceremony) - the singing and beleganjur music carried so well over the rice fields so we could hear the ceremony in the distance. Very nice, peaceful and beautiful villa.

We loved the villa (Summer Moon), very peaceful and quiet. The Villa was secluded but still accessable for dinners, massages and taxis. Breakfast daily was delicious! Overall the friendly and promt staff ensured we had a wonderful stay.

Magnificent

Being a Travel Agent I have experienced many villas and hotels and I have to say Summer Moon is my favorite. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Organising us transport, in villa massage and dinners and anything else we needed. The breakfast was to die for and oh how i wish i could whip up banana pancakes and scrambled eggs that quick and tasty. Everything about the villa makes for a relaxing and secluded stay. Will definitely be recommending this to client and friends. We will be back. I loved that the villa supplied a mobile phone making it very easy when you needed something. Even though there was a little supermarket a 15 min walk from the villa i would recommend that there was a service to pre order some grocery's to be there upon your arrival.

Absolutely Incredible

Our stay here was absolutely incredible. Summer Moon is stunning, from the moment we arrived we were in heaven! There was more than enough room for all 6 of us (3 couples). Summer Moon's fantastic layout even allows for you to spend time relaxing alone. The staff are incredible and so brilliantly accommodating, beyond expectation. A driver was provided whenever we needed one, although you are a great walking distance from the centre of town. The manager (Nick) is always available, and never far away should you need any advice or assistance. Thank you! We truly had the most amazing experience and look forward to planning our next trip!

SUblime and tranquil

We'll be leaving the villa shortly, and I to say what a wonderful place Summer Moon is. It has been idyllic. Last time my wife and I stayed in Bali, it was 1995, and we stayed in a nice guest house in Ubud. After going into the town a few times this trip, we are so glad we chose Summer Moon. It is tranquil and serene, esp since Ubud is now so busy and almost frenetic. (A stark difference from 19 years ago). We particularly liked the staff. They are all very pleasant and have big, beaming smiles every time we have spoken to them. In particular, we think Nyoman (driver) is a great asset to your villas. He's a very pleasant and knowledgable man who took us to see things we missed last time around. We had a great time, significantly because of him.

The Right Place to Stay in Ubud

We were a party of 6 people and we decided to spend a little bit more money than the usual on our stay at Ubud. It was definitely the best choice we made... The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was made according to our requests, and the house was simply lovely. The decoration of the house, the porch and the swimming pool exceeded our expectations... The surroundings were simply stunning!! We loved our stay! Thank you very much for everything.

Unbelievable, breathtaking, stunning!

We arrived at the Summer Moon in the evening and it was like walking into heaven - the billowing white curtains, the open plan - very ethereal and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The rest of the holiday was amazing and peaceful. When I booked this villa, I was considering it among a few others. All I can say is, if you're in the same situation as me, just book it. You will not regret it - you'll only want to return (or in our case never want to leave). The owner of the villa is extremely accommodating, answering all my dumb questions, and she really took the time to pay attention to all the finer details: A perfect pickup arrangement in the Denpasar airport, arranging a baby cot (even though I didn't ask, she made sure our infant had his own bed!) and checking in to ensure we were all set. The villa has 5 star amenities and conveniences so you never feel like you're "winging it" and anytime we needed something the lovely staff was right there to take care of us - the manager Nik has perfect English and he was super helpful as well. You can tell that the owner really pays attention to the details with this villa. My only regret is that we didn't stay a bit longer because I really could have stayed here for weeks! Thank you Anna for an amazing stay. We will be back - and next time you will need to evict us!

Stunning, relaxing, extraordinary views.

The Villa is beautifully equipped and maintained and looks just like the gorgeous photos. It was everything we expected and more. The Villa was well equipped with everything we needed. The indoor/outdoor bathrooms were particularly gorgeous and the design of the house created such wonderful breezes and air flow. Excellent background information was provided by the owner. Nik, the on site Manager was extremely friendly and efficient - it was a lovely security to be able to call Nik for assistance. The staff were all warm and friendly. The property is only 5 minutes drive from the heart of Ubud but provided a beautiful private oasis away from town. The private and communal pools are beautiful and well maintained. When we could wrench ourselves away from the day bed and pool we loved the cafes of Ubud (Cafe Lotus, Indus and Casa Luna were favourites), the Monkey Forest and local ceremonies and village visits suggested by Nyoman, the driver recommended by the Owner. Nyoman even took us to a local temple ceremony and helped us dress for the occasion. Cooking delivered to the villa by the lovely Wayan was exquisite - better than most of the restaurants and it was so lovely to eat at home. Wayan took us on a market tour, gave us a cooking class at the Villa and taught us how to make offerings. A most blissful holiday! Thank you.

A dream comes true

Well.... what we can say about this wonderful house called summer moon.... We fell in love with it at first sight... in pictures is already amazing but in real life is even better... with the pool being part of ricefields far away from busy life of the cities; we enjoyed quite life a lot. The location is great and together with the fantastic staff, always with smile on their faces when they come to our house to prepare the breakfast always with fresh bread and fruit, good coffee... and those fantastic banana pancakes with coconut syrup....! YUMMY....Our little one was very Happy there with the animals fishes, frogs, ducks,.... it was fantastic.Also the manager Nick made our stay so great....when we wanted to go to Ubud for shopping or massages, he always arranged the transport.we loved to stay there....and when we are back in Bali we will stay here for sure.THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR BEING SUCH A FANTASTIC PEOPLE

Wonderful, tranquil and stylish villa

Summer moon is a stylish and peaceful villa. the 3 bedrooms are peaceful, the pool is on the edge of the ricefields and the outlook from the terraces is beautiful. The 2 bathrooms are beautifully designed and the kitchen is well equipped. Staff are a gentle, friendly and supportive prescence who make lovely breakfasts and clean the villa daily. The villa is set on the edge of a small complex of homes, it provides a retreat from the busy life of Ubud which is easily accessible by car, or by a walk through ricefields. We loved our stay and will return next year.

Soaking up the the views at Summer Moon!

The location of Summer Moon is beautiful and the peaceful land life gives you so much. We spent a lot of time just at and around the house, hanging in the pool, lying on one of the sun beds and soaking up the views. The villagers are very friendly and just continued their life next to us, amazing. The house, the furniture and decor, everything is just beautiful. As mentioned before, the age of our kids (10,8,6) was just right - as they are all very good swimmers. And although the evening of arrival there was some concern of who should sleep where and who should get the room with the aircon, in the end it worked out fine. Sleeping in the upper room was perfect, doors and windows wide open and waking up with the view of the rice fields - unique! Your staff are very very friendly! We loved the breakfast, the omelette was delicious and my kids told me that the pancakes were just perfect - that I should watch them making it, they were the best! And the fresh fruit platter, excellent! Nyoman is a very good and safe driver, he took us around to beautiful places and could give us very good information. What else to say? Our stay met and succeeded our expectations! We would definitely like to come back and hopefully will while we are living in Asia. We did not miss the beach at all, in the contrary upon arrival at the airport and standing still in the traffic jam, my middle daughter made it clear to us that she does not want to stay where it is so busy and crowded! All three kids did not want to travel to the beach during our stay but loved to hang around Summer Moon. One of the highlights for them, but also my husband and myself were very impressed, was the Elephant Safari Park and of course a stroll through Monkey Forrest. My stay at Summer Moon was simply amazing!

Dear Anna, I just want to say that my 3 week stay at Summer Moon was one of the best, most interesting and relaxing experiences I have ever had. The Villa was simply 5 star plus! It is probably the best Villa in the whole of Bali, beautifully designed, modern Balinese furnishings, excellent facilities...outstanding!! I also really enjoyed getting to know the lovely staff who made me breakfast every morning and looked after the Villa, they were very attentive to my needs ( especially the Villa Manager, Nik) and made my stay even more relaxing, a real credit to themselves. The excellent location of Summer Moon amongst the rice fields and near the local village enhanced my Balinese experience and helped my understand and appreciate the beauty of Ubud, the wonderful culture and amazingly peaceful and beautiful people. I will certainly be heading back for another stay really soon and have been raving about Summer Moon to all my friends back in Australia. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday and experience!!!

Perfect luxury in a sea of green without any fuss!

Our time in this beautiful villa (poetically named Summer Moon) was like a dream. It truly was one of the most perfect and relaxing holiday experiences we have ever had. We like beautiful natural surrounds and architecture while being very comfortable, but also like a bit of independence. Sometimes all the attention at luxury hotels or villas can be a bit fussy. At Summer Moon we enjoyed the best of both worlds. The natural rice-field, river-edge architecture and interior design is just divine! One of my favorite moments was floating in the private infinity pool under the full moon: rice fields and fireflies one way, and the white villa glowing in the moonlight the other.... I started laughing because it was so unbelievably, ridiculously beautiful! Maybe that's how the place got its name? In the morning we were greeted by the incredibly friendly villa staff with delicious omlettes, tropical fruits and strong espresso coffee... just the way we liked it! They were always happy to answer questions about the village and the area, and ask us about children and family or just chat to each other and share the happiest laughter while we got on with breakfast and reading the paper over the reliable wireless connection. After breakfast and a little discreet cleaning they would slip away with big smiles. It felt like being a guest in the village home of the kindest people on earth! Days in the villa were spent reading on the day bed and sofas, gazing into the fields as groups of ducks waddled and grazed, staring off at the banyan trees and villages in the distance, and watching the small irrigation river float by. Even washing was a pleasurable surprise with three private, landscaped, outdoor showers and baths to choose from. We took bigger outings by car with the local driver Nyoman who was delightful and informative, and hired a motorbike for smaller trips into Ubud and to local warung restaurants. I could go on and on about how perfect it was. I've been asked a couple of times if the pictures are real... yes they are.... so if you stay at summer moon you might find yourself, like me, laughing about just how unbelievably beautiful the world can be sometimes! OVER THE MOON!

The photos of Summer Moon do not do justice to how stunningly beautiful this villa is. The extraordinary design and attention to detail is superb. The wonderful use of light and space, with furnishings that were luxurious yet comfortable made our stay a delight. Summer Moon is in beautiful genuine rural setting yet minutes from Ubud. Each morning we were spoiled with a delicious breakfast. All the staff were wonderful a big thank you to them and congratulations Anna ......Summer Moon is stunning! we will never forget our stay there and will rave and recommend Summer Moon to all our family and friends.
