Goofy weather (spring in Texas) kept the fish away but the kayaks definitely made up for it. Nice and quiet, but not secluded, so hopping over to Jefferson or the refuge was a short, easy drive.One big bed and a pullout couch was perfect for the three of us, and as others have noted, the huge screened in porch was fantastic. “The cabin was exactly like it was described. The room was clean and well decorated. The cabin was right on the river. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony that overlooked the water. We were going to go canoeing, but the canoes were too heavy (for females) to carry to the river. There is some traffic noise, but the view and atmosphere makes up for it. We would definitely go back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
