Great parking options as we had 2 cars, laundry available and basic but functional kitchen. Basic amenities but great spot for our trip to Galway. Great communication from hosts and I would highly recommend.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Swallow Loft. It is a very unique property perfectly close to Galway’s city center. Peggy was very responsive especially with the issue with the humidity level we were experiencing in the place. I think this place is best for 2 people as the bedroom/bathroom at the lower level smelled a little musty. The overall cleaning looked ok but not fresh.”

“My wife, my mom (whose account I am reviewing from), and a friend stayed at Debbie’s property for a week in late October. I am always a bit leery of beautiful photos in listings because they can be taken from good angles that mislead you a bit. That couldn’t be further from the truth here. Everything about this property is as perfect as you see in the photos. We hiked local trails, we visited the lovely Kylemore Abbey (and don’t miss the gardens!), we ate at the Renvyle hotel, Veldon’s Seafarer...

“We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, peaceful time. The food was delicious, prepared by Joyce, and we got a ton of advice and insight about the area and Ireland in general from Aidan. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous and steeped in Irish history. If we ever come back to Tuam, we'd happily stay again!”

Great location, not very soundproof rooms
"We had a decent stay at Galmont. This review is based on a deluxe room with sea view. Good: - Close to train station and main streets. - Very friendly staff. - Spacious room with nice view. Could be better: - Soundproofing in rooms. We heard both TV noise and people talking from adjacent rooms. Noise from the road outside was also fairly audiable. Earplugs are highly recommended. - Draft from window, not very well sealed. - Quite slow and not very attentive service in the Coopers restaurant when we visited. Food was good though."
