âThe hotel was VERY nice, as was the staff. We had a drafty window on the second floor, but that was literally our only minor complaint. Everything was lovely and we would absolutely stay here again. The area is fantastic; there is a lot to do and feels generally safe.â

âThe Empress is just what one would expect from this very special chain of hotels - elegant, historic, classy, with excellent staff (particularly in the Gold level). Sometimes, hotels are simply locations which one uses as a base for activities; although the Empress was at the centre of activities, the lounges were so inviting and relaxing that we had to question whether we just wanted to sit and relax or go sightseeing; we ended up going out a little less and sitting back and doing nothing just...
âWe typically stay at a similar competitor hotel when we come to Victoria but we found the Pendray was superior for a similar price. The breakfast was inventive and delicious and the rooms were large and quaint. We will be back.â

âWe stayed for a long weekend. It was great to be right on the wharf! The food around us was great! Room was clean and easy to access. There was breakfast included at a local cafe which was scrumptious.â
âLocated on the top floor which was perfect since you couldnt hear the other people staying there. Large and comfortable bed, jacuzzi in the room was perfect after a full day out. Became quiet in the evening around 21.30 which for our type of stay in Victoria.

âMy daughter and I truly enjoyed the pool and hot tub facilities together.
