“Quiet and cozy cabin across the street from the Kickapoo River. Perfect size for two to take a quiet getaway for a time. Much to see in the Readstown and Viroqua area and Kickapoo Valley. Excellent hiking trails, restaurants/ bars and shopping within a short drive. LeAnne was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again in the future.”

“We had the pleasure of getting a little snow during our stay which was awesome.But the roads from the cabin were sloppy with the melt the following day and we had trouble getting out to go for a grocery run. Kirsty and Kyle were very helpful and were kind enough to bring us some coffee and flour. Really great folks and a very beautiful and private location. Great space to reset from reality. Highly recommend.”

“Perfect in every way. Everything from the linens, robes, and all the way to the furnishings. This place is magic. Enjoy bringing your own food and turning off the outside world. It was all we were looking for and more. Jen has one of the most responsive and accommodating host! ”

“Really enjoyed this cabin. Well equipped, cozy and beautiful. Stairs are steep (not a problem for us but could be a concern for some). Only issue was hot tub wasn't working fully - owner was aware and thought it had been fixed but wasn't.”

“If you're looking for a place just to sleep and be one with nature this is it! Kinda like glamping. There was mice poop everywhere, it's that time of year, didn't scare us. But their was no forks, towels, napkins, they only provided 1 trash bag we went through in a hurry and had to use grocery bags for garbage. Ran to gas station for forks and paper towels. The oven dorsnt wirk, so took 4 hours tobake a 20min bitter braid. Other than thst a good place to rough it and relax”

“We stayed 2 nights over the 4th of July. We loved the cabin and had a lot of fun. The owners are amazing and were so helpful and communicative! There is one downfall of the property and that’s that there is no central air, only 2 window AC units and considering we stayed when it was over 90 degrees it wasn’t ideal. The customer service and amazing cabin did make up for that issue. ”

“Clean, quiet and magical. This place is amazing. We kayaked, took bike trails, and explored. This is not the hustle type of vacation it is relax and unwind. The patio area with a fire pit and picnic table was a pleasant surprise. Visit Peaceful Valley Haven and Hillsboro Brewery while in the area. ”
