The house needs new furniture and a new tv in the main living room, wall and handrail painting and landscaping in the backyard. The wall to wall carpeting the bedrooms is old and should be replaced. The location is great just across from the ramp to the beach. Bedrooms are a nice size. The bathrooms are generally a bit small, but the master bath is nice.

Loved our stay at Paradise at Spinnaker! Was so perfect for our large extended family - we loved staying together and not sacrificing space or beds The walk to the beach is SO short, and we had so much fun with the pool, pool table, and large dining table in the house. Highly recommend!

Incredible Spring Break Home

We traveled as a Mens and Womens golf team and this property allowed us to have one team spend their time on the first floor and one team spend their time on the 3rd floor with coaches on the 2nd floor! We can only imagine how great this property would be if the pool was open however the hot tub was great! We only wished there was a complimentary hot tub cleaning when you stay 5 days! Otherwise the house is incredible for a big group as we did team dinners at the massive dinner table! Only discrepancy we had was that the listing lists multiple bunk beds per room upstairs and there is only 1 set. So 2 beds not 4!

Okay (good and bad)

Our stay here had good parts and bad. Good: Our group was family of 22 with mix of adults, kids, and babies. The amount of space for us was great. Check in was easy. Communication with property manager was fast. Happy to bring our dogs. Location was perfect right across from the beach.Bad: we had asked if the pool would be open for our stay and we were first told yes, but after following up, was told no. The hot tub was dirty and not from us. When I told the manager they sent someone out within minutes to clean and charged us 120 for that service. When we went to use it again, it was still dirty. Probably from whatever cleaner tube in there. The house itself is outdated and dirty. There was a cockroach in the kitchen, hair from previous stay in the shower, and one of the beds my family was staying in was itchy. The only reason I didnt communicate all of this with owner was fear of being charged for their lack of cleanliness.Overall the stay was ok. The house did what it needed to do, but the lack of cleanliness made it uncomfortable to want to be there. If there were updates and better cleaning, I would stay again, but as is, most likely not.

Served Its Purpose

My Family embarks on an annual vacation in different parts and regions of the US each year. We are fortunate to stay in beautiful properties in all sorts of communities so we were looking forward to enjoying Spinnaker!I have mixed reviews because the location is top-notch. Beach access is directly across the street and the street itself is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of VA Beach boardwalk, etc. so this was a plus. While the house has great amenities (i.e., pool/Jacuzzi, games, billiards table and a playscape for kids outside), the house itself needs work: new carpet, couches, appliances etc.It's a beautiful home but we encountered quite a few mishaps: one of the toilets in the Jack & Jill bathrooms on floor 3 did not flush on Night 1, the half bath on the 2nd floor didn't have a working light, one of the eyes on the stove did not work at all, etc. Although the property manager addressed the toilet issue rapidly, the stove issue could not be addressed quickly and our request to get a light bulb replacement was not answered. In my honest opinion, I find that houses rented directly by owners are cared for a bit more closely than those managed by corporate entities where a property is just one of many. The staff was friendly and I do appreciate their quick responses on what they could address. We were also super grateful for late checkout and early checkin privileges...thank you again!I do think this house could be magnificent with renovations, though.

Family getaway

We had a great experience staying at Spinnaker! The property was great and the location right across the street from the beach was ideal. Had a couple of hiccups but the management team was very responsive. One drawback, with the intense summer blaze, some canopy shade in the backyard by the pool would have been ideal but that was solved with a quick run to Walmart to pick up a table umbrella. Overall, for our party of 22, the property worked out very well, we would look to rebook in the future.

Beach house

Family Gathering

This large house with direct access to the beautiful beach was perfect for our large family gathering. When we discovered the pool cues were broken and there was no chalk, the host was quick to respond to my message and bring over a bundle of new cues and chalk. It's that kind of attention to the needs of the guests that keeps people wanting to return.

A Great House, Our Group Had So Much Fun!

When we arrived we were blown away by the size of the house, especially how many bedrooms and bathrooms there are! The hot tub was awesome, there are TWO kitchens, and the beds (mine at least) were really comfortable. We wished they could have provided dishwasher pods and a few other basics, but they did provide us a ton of clean towels, toilet paper, and some beach supplies! Also, the kitchen was really well stocked with all the things we needed to cook all of our meals :) Also, the house could not be closer to the beach... the walkway is literally next to the driveway; we didn't even have to put our shoes on because the sand is like 20 steps from the house. What else... ummm, oh, the TVs had Rokus, which was cool, so we could easily watch movies & sports (there was cable too)... I had some trouble getting the one in my bedroom to work properly, but that was okay, it kept me from being anti-social, haha. Overall, our group had a really great time. Anytime we needed anything or had a question, the owner was really responsive, helpful and polite! I would 100% recommend this house to anyone, especially a large group who is coming to Sandbridge for the beach, a hot tub, a comfortable living room and bedroom, and just generally a great time!! Thank you to the owner, keep up the great work!

Thanksgiving in Sandbridge

After a scheduling mixup ( I was looking at the 2023 calendar when I booked) , the property managers were able to find a last minute house for our group. I booked it sight unseen since we were heading down to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter who was about to deploy. The pictures do not do this house justice…it is bigger and so much better than the online pictures. All the rooms were carefully made up with Potterybarn-type furniture, the kitchen was huge and open with 2 dishwashers and a great supply of gadgets, tools and dishes. Sweet memories made in a sweet house

My family all enjoyed themselves in this beautiful home. Everything was perfect and the location is perfect. If I had to pick something I didn't like it would have to be the telephone poles and wires spoiling the view of the beautiful sunrises from the balcony. We would definitely rebook again for another family vacation.

Great Place

Rented through VRBO and communicated with Ocean Sands Realty Virginia Beach, Jordan, to confirm reservation. They were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The house was great and the location superb as it was so close to the beach. For a large group , this place is ideal!!

Outstanding Experience

The check in/out instructions were clear and the procedures were efficient. My family enjoyed the large kitchen and dining table which allowed us to gather and interact regularly in the home. TVs were placed in each room with cable and streaming services, enabling the bedtime routine to feel like home. There were plenty of kitchenware and grill utensils available and public beach access was right across the street. Many members of the family expressed how impressed they were with the property and we will appreciate the memories for years to come.

Over priced - July 2021

We have 15 family members in our party and we found this place at the last minute. Our house in the OBX cancelled on us 2 days before our trip. We were happy to have a big house for all of us. The house has tons of space and does sleep 20+. The property just hasn’t been very well maintained. Lots of issues in the house. We had problems with the AC. Big window on 2nd floor leaked like crazy when it rained. Spouting all around the house leaks and is clogged. Water pours over the spouting. The yard is a mess. Rocks and sand mix. Rocks and sand around the pool end up in the pool. Grass would be nice. There is plenty of deck and pool chairs. Biggest concern is the electric around the pool. If you are in the pool and touch the wet concrete on the east (house side) of the pool, you get a low voltage shock. Everyone experienced it. Likely and issue with the ground on the pool light. There are water stains on the ceiling. The fridge is the kitchen is way too small for a main level fridge that servers 20+. There is another fridge downstairs that comes in handy by the pool. The area is great. Much quieter and much less congested than the Corolla. Beach was awesome and is directly across from the house. The house has excellent beach access. Sanbridge Beach is pet friendly and a great beach for the whole family. The beach was never crowded. Plenty of space for everyone. In conclusion, house was fine but for the money we paid, expectations were much higher. I could have flown the entire family to Maui for a week for the price we paid.
