“We had the most amazing time at the Clarendon Forest Retreat. We stayed in the Sanctuary house. The peace and quiet, sitting looking over the hills in the afternoon, and relaxing in the hot tub was so what we needed.
Also, one of the highlights was when we were in the local corner shop, we were sharing with the lady at the cash register that we were staying at the Clarendon Forest Retreat and the gentleman behind us was the builder of the house!

“It's sort of hard to rate because I stayed involuntarily during the floods in 2025 because I spent the previous night sleeping in my car and couldn't get the hundred kilos home to Port. I'm sure the surrounds are spectacular under normal circumstances but we were almost in the brown water of the river. The cabin was pretty cool though and I felt like it was a great decision and lucky I found them.”
“A really top spot. The cabin was a bit older and that's something people might not like. But for me it was awesome! Really reasonable price and a perfect spot. Had aircon that wasn't mentioned on Expedia and was nice and warm in there. Awesome flow and hot shower and a very comfy bed too!
Very helpful staff. I was late checking in and rang ahead. They just left the key and info in a drop box and sent me the code. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Thank you thank you. ”

“Room was nicely renovated . Good size room , bathroom lovely, excellent rain shower. Had great kitchenette with sink . Only downside is traffic was noisy in morning , but fine overnight ”

“Good stay in Forster. Hotel a bit out from city center but still good if you have a car. Very close to shopping area with Whoolies etc.
