No.7 Coastguard Cottages is located on a row of properties first built for the local coastguard, their families and local fisherman. The Coastguard Cottages in our collection offer the perfect combination of comfort, accessibility and a superb location. No.7 offers spectacular views of Lulworth Cove and unrivalled access to Stair Hole, St Oswald’s Bay and the Jurassic Coast beyond.

No.7 Coastguards is situated close to the area of the Lulworth Ranges, where military training and live firing may be heard dependent on wind direction. Recently fully renovated, No.7 sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two double bedrooms with super king size beds (one of which can be made up as twin beds on request), and one bedroom with two single beds all sit on the first floor. Each has stunning views of the local surroundings including the nearby coastal path to Durdle Door beach. We provide goose down and microfibre pillows, and luxuriously crisp white Beaumont & Brown linen for your comfort.

There is both a well-appointed bathroom with a shower on the ground floor, as well as a spacious bathroom with a shower over a bath on the first floor. A comfortable cotton robe is also provided for each person, along with fluffy white towels, beach towels, and Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo.

Guests can enjoy the sitting room with its comfy sofas and wood-burning stove, TV with Freeview box and DVD player, and French patio doors to the front terrace area. The front garden terrace offers comfortable garden furniture and wonderful views over Lulworth Cove. To the rear, guests can enjoy the established garden sun trap, which is laid to lawn.

Dine at the modern table for six, next to a stone feature fireplace. You’ll notice coastal touches in the interior design throughout the cottage, evoking the nearby seaside.

The stylish, modern kitchen and utility room are both exceptionally well equipped, with a range oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer.

A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome and well provided for; you will find food and water bowls, a towel and poo bags for your dog(s).

Directly outside No 7 is allocated, off-road parking for two vehicles in a privately accessed, gated driveway. Complimentary parking across the Lulworth Estate is included in your stay upon receipt of your car registration number, allowing you unlimited access to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle Park. For day trips further afield, there is a bus stop within West Lulworth village, with links to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage.

In front of the Coastguard Cottages is a large, grassed area ideal for picnics and exercise, from which leads paths to Lulworth Cove and Stair Hole.

The pedestrianised street to the left of the parking area leads through the village and its many restaurants, cafes, gift shops, The Doll’s House Confectionary Shop and ice cream kiosks, down to Lulworth Cove itself. At certain points of the day you may well have the beach entirely to yourselves, to watch the fishermen bring in their day’s catch.
