My husband, 96-year-old mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. The neighborhood is lovely: safe, surprisingly quiet, and within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and public transit. We used a wheelchair to walk Mom to the museums at the National Mall each day, and that worked well for us.
We like to stay in apartments when we travel in order to cook. Dishes were plentiful, and there was sufficient cookware to prepare our meals. As shown in the photos, the apartment was charming. For parties greater than two, we recommend you check with the owners about sleeping accommodations in the main room to be sure your needs are met. It worked well for us.
We were on the road several days before our arrival at the apartment, and had a communications glitch because of that. However, Eric responded quickly and clearly overall. And while we didn't have questions once we'd checked in, we felt welcome to contact the owners. The lock box on the door was extremely simple to use -- much more convenient than keys.
We'd certainly recommend this property and these owners to anyone vacationing in the DC area.
