Forest Cabin Families and Pets Welcome

  • Unwind in a quiet, wooded cabin outside Wasilla. Guests love the privacy, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and responsive hosting. Pet-friendly; sleeps five. Wi-Fi, laundry, outdoor seating, and a fire pit.

    All three beds are upstairs, reached by stairs: a queen in a partitioned bedroom with a barn door, plus a double and single in the open loft. The living-room couch is also available for sleeping. Bathroom has a shower, no tub.

    The entire cabin is yours; other cabins share the wooded property. Sauna/steam bath is not included. Sessions require a separate reservation, subject to availability; message us through Vrbo for guest-discount pricing and scheduling.

    Bring shampoo and shower gel. Cell reception can be spotty; download our arrival directions before driving, as map apps can misroute you. Bears and moose may pass through; supervise children and pets.

    Please tell us during your stay if anything is missing, unclean, not working, or different from what you expected. Message us on Vrbo promptly so we have a chance to help; call for urgent issues. Please don’t wait until checkout or your review.

Excellent Stay

This cabin features a cozy fire pit and, while it's slightly outside of town, it's conveniently close to stores. It's beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Host was helpful and friendly. Exceeded my expectations!

It's the 3rd Cabin

We booked this spot because it was close to our son's wedding venue. We were also able to make a lot of food for the reception there. We had family and friends in and out- it was a great time. We are greatful to Jerry for all his help.

Weekend away

We came just to get away for the weekend and had the most wonderful time! This was exactly the home-away-from-home we were looking for. We were warm, comfortable, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and spacious, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to prep and cook all of our meals. JD was so nice and very responsive when we contacted him and we can't wait to come back in the spring!

Beautiful cabin!

Gorgeous cabin and location, property is was amazing.He literally saved us in a pinch because we lost everything to a house fire, and he allowed us to bring our cat after losing our other kitty in the fire.Would 100% recommend!!

Perfect retreat

Check in was very easy. Access to rental upon arrival was a tad confusing as their are multiple buildings in the area yet home was very secluded and has great outdoor features including a deck and firepit. Inside is as you see in photos, perfect for what we needed. Thanks so much for having us. Will come again

Pleasant cabin in the woods

This is a cozy cabin with a full kitchen. It’s out in the woods, but there’s a grocery store a few miles away. There was a tech glitch on getting the door code to work that was straightened out in about 15-20 minutes. The host really tries to be helpful. Definitely pay attention to the directions he gives to the cabin, the map my GPS uses would try to send you driving through wetlands. The sleep area is upstairs, the one bathroom is downstairs , you need to be okay with that.

Just what we were looking for!

We needed a place in this vicinity for a couple weeks that allowed pets and had a country feel and this cabin fit the bill! Everything worked out well, we had no issues and we enjoyed our stay.
