“Came for 3 days to visit Cornell with my daughter and this home was perfect. Small, yet not lacking anything, rustic but lacking none of the modern tech. The backyard waterful, fire pit and views are worth the stay alone. Would definitely stay again.”

My husband & I enjoyed relaxing in front of the pellet stove. & to our surprise, we even experienced our first snow of the season during our stay. My husband and I appreciated the cozy 1st floor bedroom, and our daughter enjoyed the 2nd floor bedroom with bathroom and cute little balcony. “This trip was planned as a girls getaway to surprise our daughter (who has three sons) coming up from Florida for a long weekend. We had such a fun time we decided to make it a yearly tradition. “We had such a great stay here for a week. Being right on the lake brought the four of us the peace and quiet we were all hoping for. Two of us could get cell service and two of us couldn't. My husband and I never missed our phones once. It was just so nice to be steps away from the water. There were kayaks for us to use, paddle boat and a row boat. We used all of them. “Went to Keuka lake for the eclipse, the house was in a great location, close to Pen Yan and wineries. House had 3 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom. The annex house of which we had access to had another bathroom ( toilet and sink upstairs and a shower down stairs.) The house on the water had great decks to view the eclipse and the lake. “A nice out-of-the-way cottage style place to stay. Very quiet in the off-season. Hot water is hot, steep stairs to access from the road. Great decks lakeside. Some living room furniture could use updating and the cottage could use some maintenance (awning, dishwasher, outdoor lighting). Queen bed was comfortable and clean.”

The back deck is really nice; private and serene, we would have used it more if the weather was nicer during our stay. “We really enjoyed staying in this little home. It is within walking distance of downtown Watkins Glen so it is very easy to walk to if you choose to do so. The inside was very clean and well kept. We liked the close proximity to various winerys and restaurants. It made it very easy to stop back and drop off our goodies we collected throughout the days we were there.”
