Cozy Cottage with so many amenities, on beautiful Little Hills Lake in Wautoma

Bayside Getaway is located on beautiful Little Hills Lake in Waushara County, a 90 acre crystal clean sand bottom lake, Ideal for swimming boating and fishing. Sandy beach.
A truly wonderful lakefront home with 3 bedrooms, living room, family room, fully equipped kitchen, 2 full baths, 2 fireplaces. The lake home features a nice deck and lower patio with hot tub - overlooking the lake, great for relaxing in the sun and outside dining. We do allow dogs, maximum of two nless approved.. Make memories around the campfire overlooking the lake. The property also comes with a gas grill, private pier, swim raft, 2 kayaks, row boat, paddleboard, paddleboat or you can rent a pontoon boat (ask us for details)
The city of Wautoma is only four miles away and contains several wonderful restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, farm markets, and more. The Bayside Getaway is conveniently located near, two golf courses, and the famous Silvercryst Supper club. We are minutes away if you need anything during your stay.

We had a great w family getaway to ring in the New year! The cabin was clean, we felt very comfortable and cozy. The host was responsive and it is close to other activities. This may be a start to a new tradition and we will definitely be back!

We would definitely go back!! Beautiful place! Had everything we needed! We got to bring our dogs and they enjoyed the lake and being out in nature! Lake was clear and sandy! Just how we like it!

Great stay…on the water so we could fish and take advantage of the kayaks and paddle board. It had everything we needed and since we were there during the week the lake was quiet with very few boats. The hot tub was a plus and had a great view of the lake. It was a fun and relaxing trip for our family!

Fun family getaway

House is very nice, very clean and has everything you need! Comfy beds and plenty of room for everyone. Wautoma is only 9 minutes away if you need anything. The lake is small (as indicated) but it’s so clean and the bottom is mostly sand. Great Lake for family fun! ( not so great for fishing) We really enjoyed our long weekend there!

Nice Stay

The cabin was very nice. The outside space was smaller than expected, not much of a yard. The views from the top deck were amazing. Was hoping weather would have been nicer to enjoy more outside activities, but hot tub was great!

Everything was Great. Hot tub tucked in the walk out basement patio. Steps, dock n boats good order n fun Fishin: caught 12 LB cat, 3 small bass, several small crappie not bad for the changing weather

Nice stay for the early October

This was a nice cozy stay with a beautiful view of the lake. The owner is very flexible as we had to change our plans from May to October. The house was very clean and stocked with essentials. The plumbing (whining shower head) and lighting (flickering vanity lights in bathroom) needs some updating, but everything else was a-okay!

Good time at Little Hills Lake

Pretty much as advertised, which is a good thing. Some steps to the water, but not too many. The swim raft was the hit of the whole week. The neighbors were a bit closer than we're used to at these rentals, but wasn't a problem at all. We really enjoyed sitting on that deck for early morning coffee. Very nice!

32nd Sisters camping

5 of us (sisters) have been vacationing together for the past 32 years. The location was perfect for us, plenty of beds and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pier and were lucky it didn't come out for the season until our last day. The only issue we had was with the stove...it worked but got extremely hot when run for an hour at 400 (per our recipe). It took quite some time to cool off as well.

Awesome getaway

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home, nestled in the cove on Little Hills Lake! My husband, daughter, 6 of our 7 grandchildren and myself made good use of our 3 days at the Lake. The home and lake met all of our needs. The kids aged 11 to 9 months loved all the water activities. Swimming, fishing, looking for treasures, boating, playing in the sand and a continuous process of throwing the ball for the dog. The fire pit and hot tub were also a hit! We will return!!

Perfect Cabin for Our Honeymoon

My new husband and I rented the Bayside Getaway for our honeymoon, and it was everything we had hoped for! After the stress of wedding planning, getting away to a rather secluded area was just what we needed. We loved all the amenities (rowboat, fireplaces, fire pit, hot tub, grill) and made good use of them. I keep joking that I want to buy a gas fireplace like the one downstairs now! Wautoma was a pretty charming place to stay as well, and we even took a day trip to Princeton to check out the antique stores. All of my interactions with Bonnie and Misty were great, and they made it so easy to handle payments and any questions I had. I would definitely rent from the Detjens again and am now a cabin person!
