âWe loved our stay at the Ancient Gatehouse. The room was lovely and looked out over the green in front of the Wells Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return.â

âGreat place to stay for those fascinated by history. I learned from a local client after our stay how much effort had been put into redeveloping the immediate area by the owners, and now realise how much credit is due to them in keeping the area around the Ironbridge national relic so well kept. âGreat stay at the Foundry Masters House for a house hunting expedition. Hosts were so welcoming and gracious, even with an unexpected very late arrival. Fantastic cooked breakfast, very good meats from local area. Room was comfortable. Bed very supportive and lovely clean pressed sheets. Bathroom was spotless. Only very minor point was carpet was a little worn and stained. Overall, a really lovely experience and the most wonderful hosts. â
