“Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. “I cannot say enough good things about the location of this cottage. St. Charles became one of my favorite places this weekend. The street this is on could only be improved if it were on the ocean. If you are a foodie you have to try Shay's Creole Smokehouse. I could eat it everyday.The cottage is small but has all the necessities you need, there was a wedding across the street Saturday evening during our stay and I thought it would keep us up all night but the rooms being on the backside prevent...

“Kitchen has a Kurig so be sure to get pods.The house is functional as a historic property but we really only used it as a place to sleep while in town for work. Getting ready with 3 people and one bath was slightly difficult as the bedroom didn't have a mirror so everyone required the bathroom, but the beds were comfy.It is a nice part of town, near the college and on a quiet one way street.”
