“This property is gorgeous and unique and filled with history and intentionality. For the same price as a traditional cottage, we got to bask in the beauty of 19th century architecture, at least 40 foot ceilings, and homey touches that made everything inviting. While we never saw Daniel, he felt fully available through his extensive binder and communication with details on the property and attractions in the area. “We were impressed when we walked into the cabin with how clean it was. It also had everything we might have needed. That king bed is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept in, though I am pretty short and could have used a step-stool to get into it. LOL. The front porch was wonderful to sit on and enjoy the birds singing. It was nice to have the grill to cook our dinners on. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to relax!”

“Not easy to find, get to. Beautiful place and view; hot tub was wonderful, beds very comfortable, the weather was lovely. The kitchen was clean, well equipped, and cozy. We enjoyed our time together in the cottage. The property could benefit from handrail on lower steps from driveway to upper deck and front door, garlic powder in spice rack, fire extinguisher in a more prominent location in case of fire emergencies.”

“We enjoyed the quiet and remote features of this private Lansing oasis. Unfortunately while the gas fireplace wasn't working, we were able to run into town and buy wood for the wood burning stove. Definitely recommend for a winter getaway and know the gas fireplace will be repaired soon. Property manager was quick to respond and contact the appropriate maintenance staff. After working on the fireplace for a good hour, it was determined the controller needed replacing. Would certainly return for...

“We recently stayed at the parsonage, three generations, and enjoyed it immensely. Everything was exactly as stated in the description. It was clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. The host gave clear directions throughout the whole booking process. We enjoyed a fire by the amazing "babbling brook", and my grandchildren had so much fun playing air hockey in the basement. “My wife, our adult son, and our cocker spaniel stayed here over a weekend. We had an event in Blowing Rock on Saturday and it was super convenient to get in town or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. The Food Lion was minutes away, but we felt like we were in the mountains. It was a bit cold, but we used the outdoor grill and would have enjoyed sitting on the porch during warmer weather. Plenty of seating, a great kitchen table for board games...

“Super comfortable. Discovered we didnt have toaster but a quick mesaage to Emily and we had one that day. Only one minor complaint, the ad says 2 twin beds but it is a twin and rollout trundle which isnt real suitable for aduts in their late 60s. Lol. But one of our group canceled last minute so did'nt even matter. We came fir an annual sports car event and if we dont come next year to stay there, we will highly recommend The Carriage House!”
