We enjoyed it nonetheless - down river is remote and scenic. There are a few swim holes near the cabin (about 4 to 5 feet deep in spots) that are beautiful with clear water, sand/rock beaches, and large rocks cropping out of the river bed. “My family had a lovely time at the property. The children (4 & 6) years old had a delightful sleeping space in the loft. Their grandmother said it was one of the most peaceful places she had ever stayed. All of the rooms were a tad bigger than I thought they would be and the layout of the cabin was very nicely done. ”

The original place we rented had some water issues so prior to our arrival, we were contacted and offered the Deerling which happened to be bigger with no additional charge. “The family had a great time. The cabin was beautiful and clean with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The mornings were greeted with the sound of the Three Fork Creek flowing as you sipped your coffee. Very relaxing. We explored West Virginia and ended our day at Laurel Lodge with a fully equipped kitchen for dinner, campfire and s’mores bye the creek. So far the best family trip ever.”
