âThe hotel itself was ok but when we arrived there were two junkies making trouble at the motel and the porter had to call the police. But when the police was gone the junkies was back. The next morning they were gone but it was not the best way to greet new arrivals.â

âFirst of all, great beds! This was our last stop on a 2 week trip and this was by far the best beds. Clean room, nice staff and you can easy take the bus in to Central City for 2 dollars right outside the hotel. Now the downside, the breakfast. The food was ok but that was not what bothered us. It's all the plastic once in a lifetime use that just throws in the trash. It is appalling really to see in this plastic-crisis in the world how you have no consideration for the planet. You can do better...
âThe hotel is a bit older, so there are some things to be aware of. The pool is not heated so it's very cold so you probably won't be doing a lot of swimming. The water tanks aren't very big so for those people who like to take long showers this is not the hotel for you. But on the plus side the location is absolutely perfect it's very close to Frenchman Street and the French market and getting around is very easy because the streetcar stops right there at the end of the line and you're right...

"Great and nice security people.
Bad cleaning 3 out of 4 days (towels looked dirty, half made bed, old plastic cup left on table etc). Tried to tip extra to get better cleaning, but no. When we did not tip, the cleaning was good, so probably we tipped wrong person.
Tried breakfast in the bar, but waiting time was long and the serving was stopped in the kitchen at the same time we got to order.
Interior in public areas are beautiful. Pool area nice, but really cold water. Good location. "

The food along Canal street is not great and overpriced, like most in tourist areas.
The breakfast at Sonesta hotel was okey, a couple of veggies and it would be better.
The bed was really good!
No pressure in the shower unless you turned it all the way up to the hottest, burning!
No housekeeping unless you stayed at least 7 nights, new towels where available at the front desk.
Laundry room was 4 dollar per machine and wash. "
