“The house was exactly as advertised and more. The lake view was very nice. Although it’s not the season to use the lake we did take a very short walk down there. The proximity to the lake would make it amazing in season. The host was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive to my messages and checked in after we got there to make sure everything was good. He thought of every little detail that we needed for our 4 night stay. “Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. Coming from Texas, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Connecticut.Carol's 1860 home is nicely furnished and spotless. Crisp bed linens and oversized...

“We had a dinner for a grooms dinner and found this to be the perfect spot! The kitchen was well stocked and wonderful to cook in. Our guests were very impressed. It was immaculate and their is a Whole Foods just a block and a half away or a costco a short drive away. We loved cooking on the grill on the deck and the guys enjoyed having the gas fireplace and couches there as well! Lovely place!”

“Check in easy, great communications - very quick & answered any questions. Great location for what we needed, layout of house was perfect for us, Roku let us stream all the shows we wanted to watch. Ate out so didn’t use kitchen a lot, beds were comfortable. When we come back to visit our daughter will use again. ”
