Privat fristående stuga att hyra på Chesil Beach

Greenbanks är det sista huset längs kuststigen, mellan Abbotsbury och West Bexington, och denna fristående fritidsfastighet ligger på Chesil Beach och har underbar, oavbruten utsikt över havet och himlen. Huset har totalrenoverats, efter att ha varit ett mycket älskat andra hem i femtio år. Det behåller många av sina ursprungliga funktioner inklusive öppen spis samtidigt som det erbjuder rymligt och bekvämt boende. Varje sovrum har eget badrum. Även om dess läge är mycket privat (tillgången är nere på en smal, ibland ojämn bana), är det bara 20 minuters promenad längs kuststigen till West Bexington för den närmaste puben som serverar mat. En 15-20 minuters promenad mot Abbotsbury tar dig till den subtropiska trädgården, medan de lokala butikerna är 2½ miles bort i Abbotsbury. Bridport, Dorchester och Weymouth ligger var och en cirka mil miles bort. Området är en plats med särskilt vetenskapligt intresse på grund av den lokala flora och fauna. Promenader, utsikt och solnedgångar är fantastiska. Butiker 2½ miles, pub och restaurang 1 mil.

Bottenvåning: Vardagsrum med franska dörrar som leder in till matsal / vinterträdgård / täta och lekplats. Ett sovrum med dubbelsäng (4. 6ft). Vårum med toalett. Fullt utrustat och välutrustat kök.

Första våningen: 3 sovrum alla med havsutsikt. Sovrum 1: dubbel (6 ft) med eget badrum med dusch över badkar och toalett, sovrum 2: dubbel (6ft) eller tvåbäddsrum (blixtlås och länkbädd), med ytterligare en dagssäng, med eget badrum med dusch över badkar och separat toalett. Sovrum 3: dubbel (6 fot) eller tvåbäddsrum (blixtlås och länkbädd) med eget duschrum.

Öppen spis i vardagsrummet (initialt bränsle ingår). Centralvärme från träpelletseldad panna med biomassa, el, sänglinne och handdukar ingår. Barnstol. En barnsäng finns, men linne ingår inte. El-spis, mikrovågsugn, matprocessor och vätska, diskmaskin och kyl och frys. Tvättmaskin, torktumlare och ett andra kyl / frys i externt tvättstuga / bagagerum. Wi-fi och Sky TV. Stor gräsmatta och en terrass med möbler och grill. Gott om parkering. Ingen rökning. OBS: 3 steg från terrassen till trädgården.

Beautiful sea views from this charming house

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - fabulous location and very well stocked house right on the beach. The house felt so homely - more like someone’s home than a rental - great cafe/restaurant 20 mins walk down the beach.Our age range was 23 through to 88 - something for everyone.

Perfect, even better than we expected

The location, the house, wow this was absolutely faultless. 7 adults, 1 teenager and 2 two dogs for 3 nights at new year and it was everything we hoped for. Spectacular views and perfect for the storm as we hunkered down and had a fire in the comfortable lounge playing games. We all found the beds extremely comfortable and each bathroom was spacious and very clean. The whole place, just incredible!

Stunning property & location

Greenbanks is a wonderful property - this is the 3rd year running that we've been, we love it. The first thing that hits you when you get out of the car when you arrive is the tranquility - just the sound of the waves on shingles & birdsong. The view of the sea & the sunsets are so memorable.Good well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds with soft sheets. Great bathrooms. Lovely walks from the property & a lovely safe garden for the grandchildren. Right on the South West Coast Path. We'll be back again soon.

Another fantastic stay at Greenbanks

Fabulous location, fabulous house. My house guests were also hugely appreciative. Thanks to the housekeeper for a swift response to very minor queries. No anglers parking on the track in front of the house, thank heavens!! Just a little corner of paradise, with loads of peace and quiet.

Breathtaking location

Five of us stayed in October including my 80year old parents. We had such a wonderful time. The location is stunning with sweeping views of the English Channel. The house is big and has lots of different spaces to get away from each other if you need to! Kitchen is fully equipped - you don’t need to bring anything. I also love that the house is still owned by family members, I wouldn’t ever sell it. It’s gorgeous.

Absolutely wonderful

We loved our week at Greenbanks. We have stayed in many holiday homes over the years and loved pretty much all of them, but Greenbanks is an absolute star. The location is delightful and so quiet, which is great. The house is beautifully furnished and very homely. It is made extra special by the mentions and photos of Gt. Uncle Edgar and Aunt Marian and all the family books and furnishings. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with just about everything you need and all of it is high quality. You could even bake a cake if you really wanted to go that mad on holiday. Thank you to the lovely owners and to Nina and co for their wonderful care.

Stunning setting

The setting is a real wow. You arrive along the shingle beach and then can see no other buildings. The house is warm and comfortable. If anything there is too much kitchen equipment so there are few places to store your own. The dinning area has a fabulous. Outlook, the lounge a cosy fire. The weather whilst we were there was stormy so very exciting. The upstairs beds and baths were. excellent . The downstairs bed is comfortable but in a very small room. The wet room was vg indeed

We love the house. Another great fortnight in Dorset. Have rebooked for next year. My only (very small) disappointment is the fact that the anglers come and park their cars and 4x4s right in front of the house - any chance of putting a stop to that? Is the NT a help (or hindrance) here? We liked the small changes you had made to the property - shelves in kitchen, etc. The housekeeper is always very helpful. Many thanks.

Wonderful stay in a spectacular location

We have felt really privileged to be able to stay at this most comfortable and uniquely located holiday home. The views from inside and outside this most lovely house are breathtaking and ever changing. Waking up to the sound of the waves - it was so hard to leave. The homeowners have thought of everything to make this a beautiful and most comfortable home from home. The detailed guide along with such comforts as a wine fridge and lovely rocking chairs and swing seat to gaze at the sea and seabirds and watch the sun go down over the coast - every evening was different and a glorious way to relax. Abbotsbury is a lovely village - we swam, fell in love with the blackcurrant and clotted cream ice creams at the beach cafe, very much enjoyed the subtropical gardens, and walks up to st Catherine’s chapel, swimming, walking up golden cap etc, and We would love to come again, thank you for everything- we want to mention Shirley who is an excellent house manager - her communication is very helpful and professional Thank you for everything

Just beautiful

Fantastic introduction to the property from Shirley. Beautiful property, clean & equipped with everything you may need. You can forget all your troubles when you are surrounded by such comfort and views out to sea. A few metres walk to the shingle beach and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. Traveled with 3 generations, with party members aged 3-80. Visited Abbotsbury Gardens, the Swannery, Weymouth & Lyme Regis. Unable to get a table at any of the recommended eateries, so booking in advance recommended.

Excellent stay next to sea and countryside

Super! The larks sang every day as I had breakfast in the garden. We loved the house, as always. Many thanks for the small improvements, especially the new rail by the steps up to the utility area. The downstairs shower needed a repair and Shirley came promptly and the plumber turned up first thing next day, so we didn't lose any holiday. Brilliant.

Its our third visit to Greenbanks and its always such a wonderful place to spend a few days away.. The house and garden have everything you might need - including the magnificent new Weber gas BBQ!
