We were greeted with a friendly welcome. The hosts, John and Sandra were both there to introduce themselves and offer a lovely glass of cold beer and wine. Check in was easy and informal. Although not seeing the other rooms within the property, we were delighted with our room (room 5) and felt this was the best they had. It offered views across the beach and bay just yards from the front door. The room was spacious clean and offered a spectacular view. It was nicely decorated and had a small fridge for use. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, and served on the sun terrace. Blessed with good weather, it was good to be able to sit and watch the world go by. I had a days fishing booked for the first day and was offered a packed breakfast. This was delivered to our room whilst out for an afternoon walk around the area, thank you, Sandra. We felt completely rested and very welcomed and at home. Would we return, yes, there was nothing to dislike or put you off this lovely property.

The proximity to the beach, the town centre, the pavilion, pubs and restaurants……all within walking distance. The Lantana have parking permits for display on the dashboard ….such a plus in a busy town where parking is at a premium.

The whole stay from start to finish was seamless John and Sandra were outstanding hosts and nothing was to much trouble we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back 5star

What a fabulous greeting: a glass of wine! Such friendly hosts. Everywhere was spotless. Lovely room overlooking the beach. Breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to stay there again.

Wonderful stay, John and Sandra were superb hosts. The room was immaculate and bed very comfortable. View from the room was superb. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the port was sublime. We booked to return next year. Highly recommended!

The Lantana, Weymouth
Our stay at the Lantana was amazing. John met us at our car, took our suit cases to the room and invited us to a glass of wine; hospitality at its best. The room was absolutely gorgeous, bright and airy, with a wonderful view of the harbour. The bed was very comfortable and large. Loads of cupboard space. Breakfast on the terrace (also overlooking the harbour) was of excellent quality and quantity, all cooked to perfection by Sandra. The Lantana is ideally situated for bars, restaurants and lovely walks. John and Sandra have got everything spot on when it comes to guests comfort. I say guests, we were treated more like friends. Would definitely go again and highly recommend to others, marks out of 10, 10. A lovely couple. All the best to you both, Marilyn & Keith
