Named after a character from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the apartment celebrates Whitby’s famous connection to the Gothic novel. Stone steps lead up to the communal entrance of the building, where you can step inside and make yourself at home.

The spacious open-plan living area is bright and welcoming, with a dining table positioned in the large bay window—the perfect place to enjoy breakfast while watching the world go by. The modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare delicious meals, while a generous sofa and comfortable armchair provide plenty of space to relax after a day exploring the coast.

Renfield has two attractive bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and another with a small double bed. Both rooms are thoughtfully presented to offer a restful night’s sleep. From the hallway, a couple of steps lead down to the bright and contemporary shower room.

Wander through the cobbled streets of the old town, climb the famous 199 Steps to St Mary’s Church and the atmospheric ruins of Whitby Abbey, or enjoy traditional fish and chips beside the bustling harbour. Discover the town’s seafaring history at the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, take a nostalgic journey aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway or follow the Cleveland Way for spectacular coastal views.

Two dogs are welcome at Renfield, making it an excellent choice for a seaside break with four-legged friends. Sections of Whitby Beach welcome dogs throughout the year, and the town has an excellent selection of dog-friendly cafés, pubs and walking routes.
