“There are only two hotels in town and this is the better one, so I would recommend it. It’s close to a lot of cool things in the area, not just NRG. However, the hotel is dated - our AC barely worked, the fridge barely worked, you could see out of the room bathroom doorknob, and sometimes the ice machines worked. But coming home at the end of a long day and having a decent restaurant on site and open late - priceless. And the complementary breakfast was really good.”

“Hot water dribbled through spigot, musty/moldy odor downstairs, carpet not vacuumed thoroughly in my room, was not told of WiFi password on my card case, room doors very loud when closing, did not see handicapped spots, breakfast buffet subpar, no fresh fruit I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!”

“What a great hostel!! The building is so great with wonderful architectural touches. Grounds are beautiful with picnic tables and a fire pit area. We stayed in the Cloud suite - which was the entire 3rd floor with private bath and kitchenette. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!”

“Room was clean, but the bed was on springs that were noisy with any movement. Location was close to everything that we wanted to do. Complementary breakfast was good.”

“It was cold outside and it was impossible to regulate the temperature in the room. There was no thermostat. We needed to turn the heat on and off several times during the night”

“The bathrooms are slightly dated with no vent fans and low toilets. The heat/ac system was difficult to regulate and was very noisy. But for the money, I would say it was a fair to good value.”

“Great upper unit over a garage. If it's just the 2 of you and you'd like a cute, comfortable, clean place, in a neighborhood, and stairs are not a problem. This is the place for you. It was perfect for us, as we spent a couple days exploring the New River Gorge National park.”
