“The room we stayed in had some plumbing issues. The tub faucet dripped and there was mold in the tub where the water had dripped. The sink was clogged and nasty stuff backed up into the sink.
The lobby was nice, staff was friendly and helpful.”

“There was no one at the front desk when we arrived at 3 pm. Called the phone number and had to wait 10 minutes for the guy to drive up. He said he was at the river with his family. Went to our room. It was nice and clean but needed another blanket as there was no extra in the closet. To our surprise there was no one at the desk. Phone did not work in room to call front desk. The place is very nice, but needs a person at front desk to answer questions. Not a customer friendly place. ”

“We checked in and the first room had what appeared to be mold all over the bathroom, inside the little closet, and underneath the AC unit. When we brought it up to the front desk, the guy kept arguing with us that it wasn’t mold and was “just a water leak.” Regardless of what it was, it was clearly unacceptable and not something anyone should have to stay around.
We were moved to another room, which thankfully didn’t have the same issue, but it was extremely smelly. The entire room had that...

“The room was very clean. The service was good. The only problem we had when we got there and checked in the air conditioner did not cool. Took about 6 hours to get completely cool. But I would stay there again. =”

“Dogwood Inn is truly a magical place. From the moment we arrived, Jim and Cindy made us feel genuinely welcome. Cindy’s breakfasts were absolutely outstanding—homemade, delicious, and one of the highlights of our stay. Jim was equally exceptional: incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they both genuinely enjoy taking care of their guests.
The property is private, absolutely breathtaking, and feels like a dream—a true luxury retreat...
