“A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.”

“I cannot recommend this home enough. Spent the weekend here with 3 close friends and we quite literally had the best trip. To start, Martha, the homeowner, is reliable, informative, and so friendly. The house is incredible. Spacious, so much attention to detail, and adorable. “Beautiful, clean home in a great location to Whiteface and the town of Lake Placid. Went to go skiing and got more than I imagined. Basement with ping-pong and foosball kept "the boys" entertained at night. I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while it was snowing. Definitely on my top 3 places I've stayed at, and will rent again.”

“It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity....

“We had an amazing stay at this property. It was perfect for the eclipse viewing. There was 6 of us all together, two elderly, 3 adults, and one baby. It was the perfect amount of space. The location was absolutely perfect and we are even thinking of coming back when it is in season. We enjoyed watching the train across the bay and there were amazing trails and views all along our drive. Very close to Ausable chasm which was another fun day trip. Highly reccomend!”
