“We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was attentive, room was clean and quiet, parking easy, bar was limited on drinks but what they had was perfect for us. We enjoyed the music on the patio and the view of the river. The mattress was super comfortable with a soft mattress topper. Will stay again next time we are in the area. ”

“Very basic motel. Room was clean and modern, fridge and microwave worked. The building itself is looking worn and the exterior door didn't automatically close/lock. Mattresses were old and not very comfortable. Reasonable rates”

“This property is noisy—all hall noise (there was plenty with young kids running around and slamming their room doors until 11:30 P) was heard plus some rooms are close to an interstate on-ramp, so engine acceleration heard.No full room darkening curtains so light from cars on that ramp was bothersome. Breakfast was ok. At checkin the hotel clerk said my room number out loud so others in the lobby heard it—that’s been a no no for years now. No elevator which was stated in the description, but...

“What a gem in the heart of downtown The Dalles! Our room was spacious, quiet, exceptionally clean, a super comfy bed and had a stunning black and white tiled shower. Very cool! Although the hotel was finishing a big remodel, it did not disrupt our stay in any way. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I would rebook here in a heartbeat!”

“Every thing was clean, attractive and comfortable. The towels were thick and the bathrobe was very nice. My only complaint is parking. There is only street parking and during the hours that you have to pay at the parking meters you have to pay every 3 hours. You can do this with an app. I parked about 4 blocks from the hotel and later, after dinner, I was able to park only a block away.”

However the above guests had multiple children and it sounded like a herd of horses starting at 6 am, called the front desk to ask them to call the people above but they wouldn’t answer, the people continued and constantly opened and...

“It is a old hotel which adds to its appeal. But it ends there. I had a nice room with stove refrigerated microwave and nice . View was of building next door. Check in clerk acted like he was doing us a favor by having a room. Parking is $18 in lot or on street where you have to plug meter at 8:00 in morning. Never would stay here again. Best was breakfast place down street named Bette. Was told by local washing the sidewalk”

“The property was very well appointed, staff was very helpful and the room was immaculate. The best part of this property was our river view from the Balcony. And the worst part is I only stayed 1 day! I had never imagined that a Best Western Hotel could have an upscale hotel but I was wrong!! Great Job!”
